Very promising. Not resizable and locks out every other application with a black semi-transparent background. You can't have another application open that you might need while working in Glass Writer Pro. I can't see where the Pro comes from. This just a simple, but conceptually very interesting, application written in Supercard. Pro level applications don't hog the entire desktop.

Minimum Monitor requirement is 1280 x 854. That means I can not use it on my iBook G4. This is not a "Pro" App and I know many free apps that are coded in a more professional manner.

The backdrop is to eliminate visual clutter from the desktop. If you read the documentation, you'll see that the backdrop can be turned off under the Edit menu. It can either be black or white. GWP is designed to be clean and simple. For me that equals pro.
