Works as advertised. I like the little touch of adding the flag for the country of origin. Nice. And Jim W - you must feel like an idiot. DD-MM-YY, you know? Even a 2 year old can figure that one out.

It got the year of my Mac Mini wrong and had no clue where it was made. Skip this.

I typed my Early 2009 24" IMac serial number into the "Custom" part of the app and it showed a question mark for the location.

I tried to type my Early 2009 24" IMac serial number into the "Custom" part of the app and it wouldn't let me.

Does not identify my early 2009 iMac, and thinks it was made in March 2010.

I also think it needs an update. Can't find my late-2010 13'' MBA.

Recognizes my iPod Photo but not my iPod Video 5.0g. If I manually type in the Serial it gives me the date of manufacture of the iPod video but not where it was made.

Doesn't give a place of manufacture for my new iMac, but does give an approximate build date. By the way, the download is just 73.4KB, not 73.4MB as it currently shows. SJ

To find where your shuffle was built, it's embossed in the USB protection cap. Need to get the right reflection of light to see it, and it's small, but it's there

Displays my Mac's creation date and place just fine. Doesn't read my iPod when I connect it, however. Does it need to be plugged directly into the internal FireWire port [G4 TiBook and 3G iPod]?

Requires 10.4 ? Well that leaves about 70% of all Macs out in the cold and prevents them from using this applet.
