Gallery Grabber QED

2.0
20 June 2019

Download graphics from Web picture galleries.

Overview

Gallery Grabber QED allows a user to download all the images associated with a Web picture gallery in one go - leaving banners, thumbnails and page design behind. Gallery Grabber QED has a built in Safari extension that enables the user to download a gallery with a single click.

Gallery Grabber QED understands three basic types of Web picture gallery:

  • Gallery Page - a single Webpage with large gallery images embedded within the page
  • Thumbnail Picture Gallery - a single Webpage with small to medium thumbnail images which lead to larger gallery images
  • Thumbnail Page Gallery - a Webpage with small to medium thumbnail images which lead to other Webpages with embedded gallery images

In addition to these, Gallery Grabber QED 2 has special built in knowledge for a number of specific websites that feature galleries. See the developer’s website for more information on which websites are covered and which ones are not.

Features
  • Built in Safari extension allows one-click gallery downloading
  • Supports Dark Mode on 10.14 Mojave and later
  • Toolbar button allows quick access to downloaded images
  • Toolbar button for pinning main window above others to make it easier drag and drop webpage links
  • An integrated link editor to allow manual entry of URLs for more advanced users
  • Can be used in split screen side by side with a browser

I've very much liking this app right now I must say. It's quite good but I would like a "place window on top" option as well as a link bar where you can post the HTTP address link of a gallery and download via a button. Keep up the good work.

right on, brother. filters out the thumbs and downloads just the images with no configuration needed. only in "Thumbnail Page Gallery" mode, it fetches more images than those in the linked gallery (but still on the same domain, i think) so maybe it may be hard to fix it in a coder perspective. on some rare occasions, the 'Automatic' option (which should try all available mdoes) fails to download at all, so I have to pick the right mode. My only suggestion is definitely queue support.

Thank you for kind words :-) Both the options you have suggested are very good ideas; they have been added to the Gallery Grabber todo page on the Zenopolis website. Currently I am working on another project, but hope to come back to this soon and make some feature improvements! Thanks again!

These suggestions have now been added to Gallery Grabber QED 0.22. Links can be edited by opening the Link Editor panel, from the Window menu. Both the main window and the Link Editor panel can be kept on top of other windows by using the preferences. Thanks once again for the suggestions.
