The installer worked fine for me on my iPod Mini. I noticed only a couple of glitches:
- on boot, I saw briefly a "happy Mac" type graphic flash on the screen, but it was slightly garbled (maybe a screen size difference?)
- Rose Quartz Box will always crash after the first tone, requiring a reboot

Otherwise, it looks good and it sounds good!

Features: This thing has tons of features. I have it on my Mini. It comes with a good amount of games, somewhere around 10 or 15, I think. It has a modified version of Tetris, Chess, Tic Tac Toe, Tunnel, and tons of other amusing games. It also has some really cool extra downloads from other people, including idoom, which is a version of Doom one for the Ipod, which is pretty cool. (www.idoom.com)
It also allows you to display pictures. They don't look GREAT on the mini, but hey, they're pictures.

Ease of use:This is very easy to use. The only reason I give it a four is because I had a bit of trouble in the beginning. I installed it onto my mini. When I booted into Linux, it gave me a kernel panic. I decided to try to uninstall it then reinstall. However, it said that it wasn't installed at all. I did another install, and it worked fine.
Other than that, it was easy to get up and running.

Value: Free, duh.

Stability: I've had a few problems with stability, but nothing major. If you ever get frozen, you can just boot back into either OS.

Beautiful. Installed and booted on a 4G standard non-photo non-mini model. I get occasional freezes in and around recording and playback but everything else is rock solid, even AAC playing.

I installed it on my 20GB 4G iPod and it went great. My songs display but when I try and play them the iPod locks up. I successfully recorded using "Mic Record" and my left earbud (I don't have any other mic!) I am happy with it but will be happier when it is bug free further down the development path. It is worth installing it just for the cool and wow factor for me!

Well... I installed it on a 2nd gen mini iPod.

Installation went fine and it works 'fine'. It obviously has some bugs that makes it a bit hard to use, but we are talking about release 0.3

So, yeah... so far you wouldn't get a real benefits from using iPodLinux but it's always interesting to see in action; the development team did a good job. I bet that at the beta stage it will be much better!

"release 0.3" is referring to the installer. There is no official version number for the actual iPodLinux. Please don't associate the installer version with the version of iPodLinux running on your iPod -> no association at all :)

Awesome. I had just installed the last version yesterday and already a new one. Installing this one fixed a problem I was having with my settings not saving properly (had to reset contrast, wheel sensitivity, etc everytime) Now it works really well. The dialer program seemed to lock up when I was doing a lot of going in and out of programs checking things out, but a quick reboot fixed it just fine. This release added more games too. All in all very very easy to install, uninstall, and have a good time with.

Installation was great. Unfortunately it didn't work for me. I got a menu on my 4G, but neither the songs nor playlists display. Also, I couldn't set the time. Maybe there were other problems, but I didn't take the time to check for other disfunctionalities, because if it you can't access the songs, what's the point?

So is the 2/5 stars for iPodLinux or the installer? Please rate the actual program, not iPodLinux itself :)

This is great!! I installed from a Linux OS until now which is considerably more difficult. Here you get a one-click-install that just works. Everybody go and try it out. Installing/unistalling works like a charm. Absolutely hassle-free.

Wow, this is awesome. I was hesitant to do this at first due to some shady reviews, but I decided to go ahead and go for it. It was so simple to install, I'm booting Linux or Apple whenever I want. The games that come with podzilla are pretty sweet. My one complaint (it could've been my fault) was that when I first went to "playlists" for some reason all of my playlists had been duplicated. Whatever this is really cool and worth a download, props to the developer!

I have a new iPod Nano... i've tried everything... installing updates, and everything but the program won't work. Is the iPod Nano 1GB not supported, and if not is there another program?

installed latest version on a 20g 4th Gen primarily for the microphone recording capability.
This worked once, which was very exciting, but always froze several times thereafter.instead of playing back. Seems to freeze for at least two hours. So Zero out of Ten.
