The developer, Jackson Myers, after getting more details of the problem from me, sent a newer version to test. It fixed the problem I was having, and he'll release it as version 3.2 I'm raising the overall rating to 4 stars. I misses the 5-th star only because the configuration options on the back pane (and the UI*) aren't as self-explanatory as they could be, and "Reset Preferences" gives no warning that you'll lose all the URLs you've added to the list of webcams. * For example, did you know that left- and right-arrow will advance the image to the previous/next camera on your list? I haven't seen it documented anywhere and only discovered it by chance!

Auto cycle isn't working for me (ver. 3.1 on Snow Leopard 10.6.6). I see the caption bar turn red to indicate the image is updating, and it stays stuck there forever.

I Agree with the Developer. It is NOT his fault.EarthCam owns the Friday's WebCam and the Vegas one. But the Dashboard App works well so I was wrong and I am giving it 5Stars because it does what it is supposed to do!

OK I admit for what it is (Free) It is Ok but it is missing The cams I liked the best and that I think were popular with a lot of users, Friday's WebCam,Las Vegas wedding Chapel which had some interesting moments.I think that EarthCam as the author stated pulled out these. I guess they wanted MONEY!

The only way I could see that happening would be if the image file is large enough to take up that kind of bandwidth even though Slothcam is only requesting the image once per minute.

SlothCam is great, although it is not really true that it is the only customizable webcam widget; the 4webcams/9webcams/16webcams widgets are user-defined as well. But SlothCam works great for a single cam.

This is great. A widget that's actually useful since my friends use it to monitor their kids at various day care centers with the tap of a button. I'd like to see one tiny feature added though, when you mouse over the image a small left pointing arrow would appear letting you flip back 10 or so images to see what's happened that you've missed. Maybe have this number user definable.

I can't get SlothCam to save any "Caption" setting other than the default. I set it then log out and when I log back in it reverts to the default setting. Oher than that its a great widget.

This is literally one of the best written and certainly best supported widgets out there period. I'm stunned at how fast and well the developer listens to his reviews and comments!

I love my SlothCam!!! My 9 year old & I spend 10 minutes every day or so just sitting watching it go through all the cams we've loaded to catch up on what's happening around the world. One comment: We've now loaded quite a few web cam URLs to the list so our total is close to 100. This appears to really slow down the 'info' interface on the back of the widget. When you select a different cam from the list the URL & title fields can take as long as 20 seconds to update. This makes it very difficult to jump to specific items in the list so as to quickly view a favorite site. It can also take about 20 seconds now when we click on the 'i' to switch to the "info" interface for that interface to actually come up. Other than that, we are really enjoying your handiwork. Many thanks for all the effort you continue to put into improving this wonderful webcam widget. Cheers

Love the logo! I'd like a way to stop the camera name bar from flashing red when it refreshes. It's a bit annoying when you have it set to refresh every 4-5 seconds. Also, since most weather Radar images have their info at the bottom of the image it would be nice to be able to move the name bar to the top of the window so I could read the time/date info at the bottom of the weather maps. I've had to revert to an older version of slothcam so I can read the time/date stamps on the weather maps.

With this update, even I put 15 sec update interval, my cable device starts blink very rapidly. If I close this widget, everything is fine. Mostly very cool widget. Thought logo is horrible.

Feature rich, but developer needs to slow down releases as just about every time a new feature is added, another release follows a few days later with a bugfix involving the newly-added feature. I'd much rather have less frequent updates which were better tested. Another gripe with the current version is that when you flip the widget to get at the controls, the back appears lower on screen and a different size and style than the front. The interface in general could do with a bit of thought and design. Still the best webcam widget I've found so far!

Just a reference to a post I made with DoppleViewer 1.4 As posted to DoppleViewer 1.4 "Sorry Charlie. This is a neat widget but no more different than a webcam viewer. I went to the National weather service. http://www.crh.noaa.gov I put in my City and pulled up the Short Range Reflectivity. I copied the Image address. I then pasted it into the SlothCam Widget. This sounds like no big deal but when I did this I realized that the SlothCam Widget was updating the images before the images on the National Weather Service website. I had one image that was available 6 minutes before it was available on the website. http://www.crh.noaa.gov This is no slight to DoppleViewer 1.4 or any other version. I just though people may be interested in this. Perhaps you could add when we want it to update. Otherwise I will be using my SlothCam to view this and alos in almost full screen. Thanks." I love my SlothCam keep up the good work! You have improved on everthing I wished for.

The I button is in the top left which is unlike most other widgets. It should be in the bottom right. This needs to be fixed. Text labels for what cam you're looking at would be nice.

New version is very nice, but now i can't seem to find the "i" to flip it. I although think it needs a nicer looking icon. Pretty much perfect otherwise.

I'm working on a resizable version of slothcam, but I'm not sure if it's ready for release yet. Please head over to my webpage and check out the beta, and let me know what you think.

I happen to like the Icon. Thanks for being so responsive to the border issue. Any changes in the future for a MiniSloth cam half the size as the original? Keep up the good work!

Please enable a feature to remove the border and or drop shadow. If you move the widget up to the top in Amnesty either on 10.3.9 or 10.4.1 Tiger it has more than a 1/4 inch space from the top. This is no big deal if you have one Sloth cam up. but if you have 20 Sloth Cams up it takes up way too much space with the Drop Shadow. Thanks

It would be really nice if the URLs showed not only the url but a name of what the cameras are looking at and where they are. Also, what would rock would be a little user configurable text label at the bottom of each slothcam window so we could label the cams with things like "New York" and whatnot. Thanks.

You could make 2 more types. One 1/2 the size of the original and 1 double the size of the original. I currently can get 20 Sloth cams on my G5 20 inch screen. Sure would be nice to get 40 1/2 size sloth cams or 10 large size sloth cams on my screen. Hint, Hint then this would be AWESOME!!!! or make it resizeable from the user if that is possible.

Hate the icon, love the widget. I have a traffic cam in this widget, and it refreshes at an interval I set. A one trick pony--but a pretty cool trick.
