This clipboard program offers more sophisticated features than any of the free multiple clipboard managers mentioned below. There is text modification on the fly, programming features and many other features that people need. It is good to have such a program for those people and the price seems reasonable to me. If all you are going to do is bash the software for no reason then don't bother to comment at all. It is immature and does not help anyone else.

I came here because I just upgraded to Mojave and a more-recent Mac. As part of the install, I used Target mode to let the installer pull all my files off the older Mac. PTHPasteboard Pro wanted me to re-enter my serial number on the newer Mac, but it fails because the license server is no longer online. I'm really surprised to read all this here about people having so many problems! I've been using it on every Mac OS up to High Sierra without a hiccup. I was hoping to find a file-based way to transfer the license, but it seems folks have given up on PTH long ago. I guess I was lucky!

It used to be good, but stay away from it. There are many, many, many alternatives now. I use iClip, but there are many others as well. PTHPasteboard would not let me register (and the developer responded, but his claimed solution never worked.) Plus it has not been updated in 4 years. Time to move on, everyone.
iClip seems to be one that is still updated.

Will Pastebot (http://tapbots.com/pastebot/beta/) be the next PTHPasteboard? Not sure, but wasn't Paul Haddad (one of the guys behind Tapbots) the developer of PTHPasteboard? I hope I am right because PTHPasteboard was alwyas my preferd pasteboard manager.

Like a lot of people here, I really miss PTHPasteboard, but I may have found a replacement for it. There is a plugin for Quicksilver simply called Clipboard Plugin. In the plugin documentation you will find this : "The Clipboard Window is a floating panel specific to Quicksilver, giving it several useful features for positioning. Positioning the window on the side of the screen will cause it to become 'docked' on the screen edge. It will then slide into the screen edge. Hover over the edge of the screen to make the window reappear. The position of windows is remembered across restarts of Quicksilver, and you can have the window disappear after pasting by enabling the 'Hide after pasting' option in the preferences." It’s a very simple clipboard. Nothing fancy, but it’s free. It has been updated on 2015-04-19 and it works fine with Safari. http://qsapp.com/plugins.php

A reason more to avoid to DOWNGRADE to Yosemite!
I'm still using with full satisfaction the version 4.4.1on Mavericks and, when I try Yosemite on the partition I made to see if at least I will be able to work with Yosy as with Mav, the bigger miss I feel is just my beloved PTHP (beside the UGLY interface of anything, by Spotlight to Mail, by icons to fonts… but it's not the first time that Apple does an UI downgrade).
I still wonder what the bloody hell will FORCE ME to windowize my Mac bending myself to use this OS mistake or 'skipping this version' hoping in a regret and that Steve puts his HOLY HAND on the head of Tim 'enlightening him with an understanding fatherlike smile.
4 stars because of the too high price that made it a niche product victim of a totally wrong marketing strategy!

It's a shame. They discontinued support for OS X 10.10. Don't understand why they wouldn't simply update the code to make it fully compatible. They are almost there. The only problem is that it does not work with the Safari browser?

Even though it’s old, and a little bit clunky on Yosemite, PTHPasteboard is still the best (for my needs). I must have tried all clipobard apps on the market, including iClipboard, iClip, ClipMenu, Jumpcut, CopyPaste Pro and several others, but I always come back to PTHP. I’d like to think that the developper is still working on a version compatible with Yosemite, but everything suggests that the application is really gone for good. And no website anymore. It’s been replaced by a page showing these two sentences : "PTHPasteboard is not currently available for sale, due to incompatibility with Mac OS X 10.10. You can download the latest version here." My hope lies on the word "currently", meaning that maybe it hasn’t been totally abandonned. Very sad. II’d be willing to pay full price again to get a version of PTHP fully compatible with Yosemite..

PTHPaseboard Pro for YEARS has been THE BEST Clipboard Manager ever. But as of OS X 10.9, it has been showing rough edges and incompatibilities. For example, the translate to Spanish filter stopped working. It was last updated August 2012.

Currently, the developer took down his website and offers now support citing incompatibilities with OS X 10.10. Only the old version can be downloaded from the site. And no support is offered.

Since it supported the PowerPC Platform, PTHPasteboard probably needs to be rewritten from the ground up. And it will take the developer a long time to do so.

Sad to announce it. But PTHPasteboard is DEAD for now.

I am looking for alternatives that approach its usefulness. So far, many of the replacements are far too clunky.

I sadly have to agree with Juancab. This WAS the best. I'm now having issues after having upgraded to Yosemite (PTH leaves weird artifacts on the screen at seemingly random moments). I've gotten no response from the developer. Too bad, because it really was a great app. Time to dump it and move on.

This WAS the top of the heap, but it has NO support now from its developer. I am particularly peeved that when I moved to a new computer, I wasn't able to transfer PTHPasteboard Pro because it claims my registration number was used too often (never mind the license allows you to install on all your computers). I suspect the developer just shut down the registration server and doesn't bother to maintain it. I've switched to using the much less robust, but still acceptable Clipboard management features of the Alfred PowerPack. At least that is supported by the developer.

FAR TOO EXPENSIVE, that's maybe why they sold too few of them to make it a 'must have' largely diffused, as it would deserve, having been the BEST clipboard manager out there! And now, abandoning it as it seems, not the developer but the marketing responsible is FAILING!

PTHPasteboard used to be GREAT... back in 2007. It's been two years since an update, and it's becoming long in the tooth. The pasteboard is no longer 100% responsive, sometimes requiring multiple clicks to get a response. This is frustrating when I've got my flow going and just want to get on with my work. I've been a paid user for the better part of a decade, but I'm now going to look elsewhere for a clipboard extender.

Don't buy this software, the PTH PasteBoard works fine, but support is none existent.I contacted the developer twice, never heard anything. According to the EULA one can use 1 license on more machines. I had one license and could not install the license on the second machine, contacted the dev and heard nothing. Now after a clean install of Mavericks I cannot activate my license again, contacted the dev again and again received no reply. The pasteboard is fine, but don't spend your time (and many) in PTH, there are alternatives .. With this level of support I cannot rate PTH higher than 2.

I've been a champion of PRH for years, but I can no longer recommend. It causes my machine to kernel panic or freeze, under OS 10.7.4. Great utility for local clipboard management, but syncing is highly problematic under Lion--it almost never works. Instances running on various computers on the LAN seem only to sync with others that are already running at login time (and then only rarely and fleetingly) and seem never to be able to sync with clipboard publishers that start later. Instances that start, stop and restart asynchronously (the real world situation) would seem to present a kind of "catch-22" situation that the developer needs to work around. Matching of clipboard hosts is also imperfect--on some computers PTHPBP lists itself as a publisher to subscribe to.

I've tried the others. PTHPasteboard Pro is still the best of the multiple clipboard utilities. I am running Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3. It works very quickly. It works with large text passages or graphics. And it uses very little CPU time. It has been very very stable. It doesn't take up much screen space. I love the fact that it has the capability of processing the text in the clipboard (e.g. convert to UPPERCASE, translate to Spanish, etc.) before pasting the contents. I like the fact that it can show as both a pop-up menu and menu. PTHPastboard Pro has done the job for me for years. I use to use the free version for years and converted to the pro version during the conversion years ago from Mac OS 9 to Mac OS X. I keep looking for a better solution. But I haven't found one yet.

PTHPasteboard has problems in Lion. Copying less than a complete line from Safari, Mail, TextEdit, and iCal fails. Copying complete lines works as expected. I've noticed problems in other applications, but have not taken the time to test and confirm. I've had to restart it under Lion more often than under Snow Leopard. I could not find any recent indications on the developer's site regarding plans to update. In early August I sent an inquiry to the developer concerning an update for Lion. I received no response after 4 days. I've used PTHPasteboard Pro for about two years and rely on the filters, which are powerful functions and easy to set up. Unfortunately, it's now unreliable.

This is probably my favorite multiple-clipboard app. Stable, easy to use but very powerful too. It embeds text formatting/cleaning abilities to clipboard items, and lets you create macros you can apply to text too. It's good to see that the developers are still keeping the utility up to date too!

I have a very frustrating situation with the PTHPasteboard. I was searching for a good pasteboard program and I the PTHPasteboard was what I needed, especially the possibility to synch between several computers. I purchased it using it Paypal. After 24 hours I was supposed to receive my serial number... Now, 11 days after this day I still don’t have it... and the demo mode is expiring in 3 days. I wrote to the support at least 3 letters: NO REACTION at all. I start to think this is a fraud. Very soon - when the demo version expires - I will be forced to claim against the developer at Paypal. By careful buying it!

Irrespective of what one may think of the PTH sales policy (and for what it is worth, I don’t think it would harm their business to provide a download of the limited free version), this is for my money the ultimate clean functional clipboard manager. It does not concern itself with providing eye-candy, just an elegant and very flexible interface for controlling clippings in any way that suits you—via keyboard or mouse, from menubar or window. The choice of pasting formatted or plain text can be made very simply on paste in a variety of intuitive ways. At first I regarded filters as unnecessary feature-bloat, but once I started using them their usefulness became apparent, enabling PTHP to replace several other text-manipulation utilities. Using a translation filter to paste text from the clipboard in another language is particularly cool. Once you have sampled what it can do and how it does it, $25 does not seem that much for something you are likely to use several times a day.

Secretly updating people to a pay only version? You've got to be kidding. That's after selling off the free version to horrible developers and leaving users stranded. You want to send this guy money? ClipMenu is powerful and free. The only significant thing PTHpasteboard does which ClipMenu doesn't do is sync clipboards between multiple machines, which seems to me a bit of a security hole anyway.

I had never tried a clipboard manager until I downloaded PTHPasteboard about a year ago. I was instantly in heaven, and this was with the free version. I looked at the features of the paid version, decided I didn't need them, and was happy not to have to pay the $25. Then about two months ago, either I pressed the wrong button or something, but my free version went away and all I got was messages about upgrading to the Pro version for $$$. I was pissed, so I tried just about every other clipboard manager out there. Unfortunately, by that time I'd been spoiled by PTHPasteboard. I even tried to get along without a clipboard manager, but that turned out to be a massive pain in the neck. Today, I gave in and bought the Pro version. Bliss again. Like others, I wish the price was more reasonable, but the basic functionality is so nice that about my only complaint is that now I have to investigate to see all the other things that PTHPasteboard Pro does so I make certain to get my money's worth.

I've been trying this app for a few days, and I'm impressed so far. I've been looking for a replacement for CopyPastePro after encountering a major stability issue with the latest version. PTHPasteboard Pro is the only other clipboard manager that offers comparable functionality, and indeed offers some nice options that CopyPaste doesn't, such as the ability to create multiple custom pasteboards that you can edit to store frequently used snippets of text. It's somewhat less visually appealing, but it's very functional and seems so far to be more stable. Frankly, I think it's a little silly to complain about the price of PTH. The fact is that you get what you pay for. There are several clipboard managers available for around $15, and none of them offers the functionality that PTH does. If all you need is the functionality of one of these $15 dollar utilities, then by all means buy one of those. If the excellent but basic JumpCut provides all you need, then go with it. If, on the other hand, you need what PTH offers, then $24 isn't an obscene price. The only other clipboard utility that comes close to PTH, as I said before, is CopyPaste Pro, and it costs $30.

I agree with the previous viewer, but I'd give the PTHPB 5 stars. I think that its "problem" is also its major virtue: there are so many configuration choices to set in preferences, it takes time to set up. And, the documentation about how some of the options about Window behavior fit together could be clearer. Other apps don't have as many options or features, and so are somewhat simpler to use. So this is an App for those of us who want a lot of control, and in this category, I think that it's the best.

I've used PTH Pasteboard for several years. I've tried most of the alternatives, including the free ones. PTH Pasteboard more than the others gets the right amount screen space, but not too much-it's configurable; shows enough of the clips to be useful, also configurable (and pops up more if you hover); and offers the most options for pasting. The Pro version was worth the investment to me: I wanted the ability to exclude sensitive information and some of the text-processing filters can be a time saver, compared to going to TextSoap. There are many options for configuring size, window appearance, and where the windows will open. On the negative side, with too many extra pasteboards, it's easy to forget which menubar symbol opens which. I find it easier to memorize the hotkeys. All in all it's a solid product.

Good riddance PTHPasteboard Pro! You were fine as a free utility under 10.5 (I would have paid maybe $5 for the non-Pro version.) for the basic functions that was offered, but now you've changed the terms and apparently anyone with good sense and a modest pocketbook agrees $25 is a RIDICULOUS amount to charge for a utility that offers so little. So, as people switch to Snow Leopard, they will toss this like the bit of fluff it always was. And that will be that.

Wow. I have been a fan of this software for years--hacking it to work when it didn't, lamenting its disappearance when it went away, and excitedly welcoming its return when its developer promised to keep a free version. Then I get a notification that an update is available. It updates me to the *paid* version of the app. That's sneaky. It's deceptive. It's bad business practice. If the developer wants to discontinue the free version, so be it. But don't pull the sneaky update thing. Frankly, the product is no better than ten others out there. My needs were minimal, so I liked the free version of this. I will certainly never purchase a product from this developer. Once you see someone is dishonest in their practices, the business relationship is soured.

it is true that 4.5 is too expensive for basic functions. but from 4.5's dialogs it appears that when the demo license expires, the program will revert to the free 4.5 version and keep working in this mode (lacking basically 2 advanced features, but retaining 10.6 compatibility). i wonder whether this is true...

I hope anyone who gets word back from the developer posts it here. I sent a mail a few nights ago asking for some sort of status update and have yet to receive a response. I paid for the pro version years ago. Nothing quite matches it in terms of flexibility and functionality. For now I'm using the (inferior) clipboard history feature in LaunchBar, but I really miss being able to pass clipboard items through scripts. It still seems to work on Snow Leopard with the 32-bit kernel (my MacBook 4,1), but it's dead on my iMac running the 64-bit kernel. Probably time to start investigating the new roll-your-own services in Automator.

I have enjoyed using PTHPasteboard for over a year, and it's become a staple in my computing repertoire. But something weird is happening to that company (PTHconsulting). The app is starting to do funny things, and customer service doesn't seem to exist anymore. A couple of months ago my pasteboard suddenly started to dump all of my items for no apparent reason. It was not in response to updating any system components, like the OS 10.5.7 update or a QuickTime update, it just suddenly lost all my clipboard items for no reason. And every time I re-enter my items PTHPasteboard loses them again within a few days or weeks. So, I wrote an email to customer support, and then another, and then another -- each one automatically addressed in my own email client (Entourage) when I clicked the "Contact Us" link on their customer support webpage. But no response was forthcoming. So, tomorrow I'm going to call them, and after crapping on them for ignoring my emails, maybe I'll discover WTF went wrong with PTHPasteboard 4.4.1. But I doubt it. In case they're as dead as I think they are, I just installed Clipboard Evolved.

Best of the bunch - but the GUI is 10 years out of date. Ask yourself if Apple would design anything even remotely similar to this ? The one feature it desperately needs is the ability to view and edit data within the application. Quickly and easily. At the moment there is no way to view fully all the information captured. ( Without actually pasting it somewhere, editing and then having to re-paste it ) The 'custom filter window' would be a great place to do this for a start. If there was an option for a pull out window to see and maybe even edit your clipboard history - then this would be a truly rounded clipboard app. For those of us PRO 'paid up' users - this should be a priority. Considering the GUI and less than robust development of new features. It is well worth a look - if you are in the market for a clipboard application.

Tried them all, used to be an avid CopyPaste pro user until I tried PTH. MAN what a great application. Not only is it more stable than CopyPaste, but it has more features, and is FREE with those features. If you want to customize it even more, you have to pay. But even then it's STILL a better deal than the other PAY ONLY clipboard applications that have irrelevant windows and inane GUIs. No PTH doesn't have a fancy system resource taking up GUI, and I wouldn't want it to.

Now that I've already purchased PTHPasteboard Pro, I have found a couple of things that would have stopped me from purchasing it, had I discovered them earlier. I still think it's one of the top three clipboard enhancers, but it will NOT: 1. Allow you to delete clips stored in any other pasteboard other than the main one. If it lets you add additional pasteboards, why sould it preclude you from managing the clips stored in them? I added a pasteboard named BOILEPLATES in which I could save things I have to use often, but it's useless if I can't edit these clips, which is only possible in the main pasteboard. 2. Along the additional pasteboard lines, you can only move clips from the main pasteboard into additional pasteboards...you can't move clips from a secondary pasteboard anywhere. Again...useless to have other pasteboard if you can't manage the clips in them. What is the purpose of even having the feature for additional pasteboards? Thankfully, I only spent $17 on this due to the MUPromo, but I have to start trying out all the others again.

I would have already purchased this except for two problems (for me anyway). You can't selectively delete clips...which is absurd. The lousiest of clipboard products do this. Next, it's way too easy to delete all your clips with the eraser button. Developer should have at least a tutorial when you push that..."Do you really want to delete all your clips?" Other than these two things...it's the most function (if not the ugliest) of apps in this genre.

I tried Jumpcut, iClip, and CopyPaste Pro, but this one is better than all of them. It needs an overhaul graphically, but it is the most functional of all the other copy-paste whatchamacallits I have played with.

Like the previous poster, I was hooked within minutes. I am a registered iClip user but this is SO much better. As for the "Buy" icon, it is tiny but it does turn red! And is, for me, in no way annoying.

Within 5 minutes of use I was completely loving this utility. It blows iClip out of the water. Wow. I particularly love the auto-hide feature which lets me have the clipboard on the side of the screen. So it gets shown when I hover with the mouse. It also hides automatically. The design is spot on. Thank you PTH. The only thing I dislike is the naming, PTHPasteboard is ugly and anti-Mac... Name it Pasteboard! That would be a better fit for this elegant product ;)

Thank you KKNOPP for the warning below. I have always been a fan of PTHPasteboard, but now I will keep the old version until the developer has realized the sense of your message, and removed the nagware. (I post this as an independent comment to give the anti-nagware lobbying some weight.)

I have tried different apps but this one is for office purposes definitely the best I could find. Simple, clean and easy to use and do not bother with a graphic overloaded GUI. The possibility to use customized filters is great. In combination with the customized keystrokes something I never will miss again. The filter makes any other app for "cleaning" text unnecessary. The app is stable an works smoothly.

Simply the best clipboard enhancer I have seen. It has worked flawlessly for me for years, in Panther, Tiger and now Leopard.

I've been using Pasteboard for 7 years in its various incarnations - very happy with it now in Tiger, I've ditched ShadowClipboard for the moment because copying a whole row from an Excel or NeoOffice spreadsheet causes it to go into infinite loop - Pasteboard can handle this, and is also more consistent in its plain text pasting. Nice.

Yes, Quicksilver can work for PasteBoards. So can You Control (obviously ;) ), Butler, and many other programs. But PTH Pasteboard has been more powerful, stable, and easy to use in my experience. For example, I have multiple pasteboards, some frequently used text has assigned Hot Keys, and I can search quickly through hundreds of clippings in my main pasteboard. And all of this free of charge. For those who require filters and synching there's the Pro version. I have licences for iClip and ShadowClipboard, and PTH Pasteboard is the one I have used everyday for about a year.

I don't know the software, but people searching for a basic cliptboard feature don't need more than Quicksilver has to offer- aside being a launcher, execution and search tool etcetcetc... ;-)

I find 20 items too limiting. Currently, I use KoolClip with a user-defined limit of 100 items and always find what I'm looking for, but I am not sure whether it'll make it along when moving to Leopard. Also, I use a 20-items-only clipboard recorder at work (where I have to use a PC) and at least once per week find myself looking at the hostory list and say "Oh, it's already gone..."

SAME PROBLEMS AS BEFORE The same problems I mentioned regarding the previous versions are still present. They are: 1. If one has to use it in "always show window" mode - After completing the paste actions it is impossible to close either the Main or Custom windows by clicking on their red close buttons as they are disabled and their menu bar icons do not hide and then show the windows again. It would be helpful if both these options could be available to the user as when the window is needed for pasting the user would be able to click on the required window menu bar icon and after using it could just click on the red close button. Nobody expects the windows to be shown 24 hours a day. 2. It would be useful if it were possible to move items (rather than copy) from one Custom window to another, e.g., by using a hotkey whilst dragging the item. 3. If one wishes to change the order of items in a Custom window by dragging them, they are not moved but instead are copied to the target location. The Pro version, which just enables more features, has the same problems so I can't even upgrade to that.

I still think CopyPaste is the king of clipboards and then of course if you run QuickSilver (everyone should at leat take a look at QS in my opinion).. there is also a simple clipboard memory accessible that way.. so.. er... well...

I've used a number of other clipboard utilities, and generally after some period of initial novelty I find that I'm just not using them because they make it awkward to find the clips I want. Often they try to make up for this with flashy graphics, but the truth is that the cost is usability. So I was very pleased to find PTHPasteboard. I've actually kept using it and found it an excellent program that keeps out of the way until I want to access it and then is really easy to pull up. It may not have the graphics "flash" of some, but it works very well indeed. I went for the Pro version partly because I wanted to reward the developer for his efforts - and also because the filter functionality is very good.

Firstly I would like to thank the developer for fixing 2 issues out of the 5 I mentioned below (version 4.0.5) - now only one window is activated at a time & the scroll bar doesn't jump up to the top. The only main problem with the application, if one has to use it in "always show window" mode (like me) is: After completing my paste actions it is impossible to close either the Main or Custom windows by clicking on their red close buttons as they are disabled and their menu bar icons do not hide and then show the windows again. It would be helpful if both these options could be available to the user as when the window is needed for pasting the user would be able to click on the required window menu bar icon and after using it could just click on the red close button. Obviously the developer did not intend for the windows to be shown 24 hours a day :-)

Correct, not with this version. The fact that it was bringing up other windows when you used a HotKey was a big issue with a lot of people, so 4.1.1 was changed to address that.

The new release is now much better - but there are still some annoying things, e.g. I don't need additional information when selecting items in the little menu (this is really annoying because it slows down the behavior of your app). If you don't know what I mean - look at the app Jumpcut and examine its menu. It's similar to yours but without additional information. IMHO very simple and elegant. BTW: Please add a new feature for clearing all entries when using the small menu. Everytime I have to delete every single item in the list. Very annoying if u ask me (Jumpcut has such a feature called "Clear all"). Why is the feature "Always show as plain text" not free? This is very important because sometimes it can be very confusing (formatted text in the small menu looks pretty stupid). This is a feature which should be definitely free. Otherwise: It'S getting better and better - but it'S still not perfect. A sticky bezel window similat to that one of Jumpcut or PopCopy would be outstanding. Just as an additional feature (display options).

NEEDS MORE WORK. I'm running the application on my Intel iMac OS 10.4.8 and I am finding it very useful. I have, however, found some problems with it. I usually have a few pastes to perform at the same time, so I cannot use the "ordinary mode" because, obviously, each time I paste an item I would have to go back to the relevant pasteboard icon in the menu bar and click on it again for the window to reappear. I also cannot use the application in "autoshow window" as I have other application autoshow drawers around my screen. Therefore, the best way for me to use PTHPasteboard is in "always show window" mode. Using the application this way, however, causes a few problems: 1. After completing my paste actions it is impossible to close either the Main or Custom windows by clicking on their red close buttons as they are disabled and their menu bar icons do not hide and then show the windows again. It would be helpful if both these options could be available to the user as when the window is needed for pasting the user would be able to click on the required window menu bar icon and after using it could just click on the red close button. 2. I have my Main window set to display 20 items. If I wish to paste a few consecutive items which are numbered higher than 20, the scroll bar jumps up to the top after each paste. This is a bit of a pain because I need to scroll down each time to search for the next item after each paste. Incidentally, this does not happen in the Custom windows. 3. It would be useful if it were possible to move items (rather than copy) from one Custom window to another, e.g., by using a hotkey whilst dragging the item. 4. If I wish to change the order of items in a Custom window by dragging them, they are not moved but instead are copied to the target location. If I use the application in "ordinary mode" and click on any of the pasteboards menu bar icons, all the windows are toggled instead of just the window relevant to that particular icon. If the developer would fix these problems, then this application would be just perfect.

Works like a charm. Forgive me if I've missed it, but is it possible to prevent anything else, but raw text being copied and pasted? (=no images, no formatted text, just raw text)? One little cosmetic wish also: Make the menu bar icon close the window, if it's already opened. That way, it's easy to click once - if you just want to get a glimpse in the copy/paste history - and then you click the icon again, to close the window. But way to go! It's a really nice application!

Is there a way to toggle the pasteboard window to appear/disappear without having autoshow on? I have "Always show window" unchecked and "Autoshow window" disabled, but when I start the pasteboard, it sits there and will not close no matter what. Clicking on the menubar icon does nothing at all, nor does clicking on the close button on the pasteboard itself. Thanks in advance.

I was excited to see PTHPasteboard back but it doesn't seem to work well. Copies are simply not showing up in the window that appears when you call up the pasteboard (the one with the pink eraser icon). It remains empty and I cannot add anything to it.

I used PTHPasteboard before Panther and then settled on Butler (only for the multiple pasteboards; I use LaunchBar). I'm certainly happy to see that PTH is alive again, but I must mention that PTHPasteboard seems to have a small memory leak, and thus Butler (with other features turned off) has a smaller footprint on system resources.

Great to see this app show up again on MU .. I used and loved all of the PTH modules this guy made before he went to You Software - a company that tried (or is still trying) to sell these and a bunch of other, less useful menu applets with a new interface, a new name (You Control) and a surrealistic $70 price tag. They even required online activation, lol .. Are they still around? I'm too lazy to check. I usually don't wish anyone in this business bad luck, but I certainly wouldn't mind if this company went bankrupt. PTHPasteboard was broken by Panther, and the compatibility fix is welcome. However, this app hasn't made any progress for almost two years, and other free programs like iSnip and Butler offer similar functionality and much more polished interfaces. Even in the freeware/donationware market, competion is fierce nowadays, and while I appreciate that the developer left this weird company and started working again on his own programs, I would like to have more compelling reasons than nostalgia to switch back to this pasteboard module. Anyway, welcome back!
