Cricket 3D has arrived and now you can select the level of difficulty for each game from an amateur setting right up to the very highest International level. As you play more games and improve your batting and bowling skills, see if you can reach the Professional standard where balls will be coming towards you at over 90 mph!

All of the on screen displays have been improved and there is now a stunning Oval window (how appropriate!) for viewing the field settings and making sure the fielders are best placed to cut off the batsman's favourite shots. And with the new full
What's New
Version 8.0:
  • One of the most requested features is now included -- hitting a six! As always, you need to pick the right ball and get the timing right for those lofted shots but when you connect, the ball will sail over the boundary. In addition, you can now cut and glance the ball behind square on either side of the wicket and watch the runs accumulate on the wagon wheel display. The new version means the tussle between bat and ball is even sharper and more realistic than ever before.

A really good game - I never get bored with it and the new update makes it even better. A must for any cricket lover

A brilliant update to the game. This version allows for test cricket including swing bowling, far more consistency in the ball being pitched up to the wicket, greater control over pace, swing, and turn when bowling, and a far greater challenge as a batsman. Some more features are needed: a batting crease (when batting), byes and leg byes, and a smaller (size) but more more comprehensive scoreboard (bowlers names and so on). Otherwise, this is a great game and is terribly addictive. Great job Graham!

This is a great cricket game - the best - it worked beautifully with Leopard 10.5.8.
Sadly, since upgrading my MacBook Pro to 10.6 Snow Leopard two days ago, Cricket 3D v4.3 will not load.
It appears that Snow Leopard doesn't like cricket!
Anyone else having the same problem?

v5 has now been released and is fully compatible with OSX 10.5 and upwards. The game can now be played with a Wiimote remote controller (as well as the standard mouse) and this transforms the batting and bowling. Now you can play those wristy shots and see the ball disappear to the boundary.

In addition, an amazing set of Classic games are included where you play the last innings of some historic games. Complete background notes and results are included for each Classic game.

Great game must buy for all macs (and cricket fans!) It needs different batting angles and bowling line and length should be easier to select. I'm would hope this game makes itself as an much bigger game for macs only. The sound needs a lot of work on as well as the batting but overall a magnificent game. The game is quite fun for bowling as you can bowl for a bit and at then do something else come back, experiment have snacks etc. That idea for an easy stress free gameplay in bowling should be aplied for the batting as well. Hopefully more individualness of the batters and teams can be exposed in newer versions of this game (hopefully many!)
Great work guys!

Many thanks for these comments and suggestions. As always, the future development of the game benefits from such feedback so I appreciate the time taken to post up the comments.

This is the only Mac game to which I consistently return. Batting has a quite realistic feel to it, and field placing works nicely. The author responds very well and swiftly to suggestions, and I am sure this game will continue to develop if supported. Hopefully future editions won't make it quite so easy to beat the computer, but at present I'm happy for my team to almost always win!

Hmm.
Both download links broken.
Had to visit the site.

Anyway, perhaps this will be a way for a Yankee to get into this game. 8^)

I am disappointed. This game is lacking the commentary of Henry Blofeld and friends and Pigeons and Streakers on the pitch. It will never be complete until those things arrive...

cricket 9.1 is quite nice. One noticeable problem for me,is that no batsman has survived an appeal for stumped out,no matter where the ball is played from. This was not the case in Cricket 5to8 versions.
Incidentally are Versions 5to8 compatible with OSx.My eMac is unable to open copies I made of those games.
