Are you friggin' kidding me? This program does squat. You can fill in a total of 4 different caricatures (which appear to be of the current U.S. president) and...then you can make him "talk", by providing a long elongated bracket item next to the text. And possibly have him converse with a non-pictured secondary person out of frame. There are two spots for text (one for you, one for your imaginary friend) and each always occupy half of the box. Type too much so it can't all fit? The text scrolls up and out of the image. You can just type into both blocks, but then there's a visible extra space between them. But other than that you can...well, nothing. That's all it does. Use the 4 stock images, the weird bracket-based text, and nothing else. How do you export the image? Why, you're expected to take a screen shot! Oh, and the File Menu is present, but empty. There's not even a built in export! It's stable, at least. All for $10! If the options were improved (your own images, actual speech balloons, the ability to export the damn cartoons, etc.) and the price dropped substantially (you might be able to swing $5, with added features), it might be okay for producing Red Meat style cartoons. But now? You're expecting people to pay $10 to make lousy parodies solely of the president? Get real.

It's a VERY good idea turned into a loosy one because the developer is kind of lazy. I want to import my 4, 5 pictures. I want choose my font. I want choose my bubble style. I want be abble to export it in several format. I want be abble to print it. I want be abble to save it. Well… i want the basics features.

Dear Jim, I'm very glad you spent your time reviewing CartoonU in such a detailed way. In fact, you probably spent more time reviewing, than I did writing. Thank you for the stars too. I don't "expected" anyone to pay me for this. I did it just for fun, and as I wrote at the About window, you are free to distribute it and "if you like..." you pay the US$ 10.00. I suspect you didn't like it, so I will not wait for your payment. Your sugestions are welcome and maybe I'll implement them in the future. About your coment that it is hard to make "lousy parodies solely of the president", well, you may find amazing how many people out there has humor to share! And you surely can use some. Well Jim, it's your world, I'm just living in it. Thanks again
