PHP editor.

Overview

Tiguex is a PHP editor and generator created to fit your PHP needs. Features as follows:
  • A compiler to check and fix your syntax. The compiler currently:
    1. Check for semi-colons (;) at the end of lines that need them.
    2. Make sure that you have closed all open quotes, single and double.
    3. Make sure that all parentheses that are opened are closed.
  • Four easy code generators. Code generators currently:
    1. Headers:
      • Add headers to the top of your document
      • Option to remove all other headers already in the document
    2. Comments:
      • Double slash comments adds a single line comment to your document
      • Slash Star comments add a multiline command to your document
    3. If Statement:
      • Add as many (or none) else-ifs as you need
      • Option for else
    4. While Loop
      • Adds a while loop to your document
  • Easy file opening and saving
  • Quick (and optional) updater
  • Customizable Workspaces (as seen in PhotoShop CS)
  • Smart Auto-Save (Restore after crash)

I don't think I need a PHP editor just to insert and if() in my documents, sorry. There's no way I'm ever going to use this. I'm sticking with SubEthaEdit.

We have realized how pointless this application is. You see, we are a relatively new software "Organization". Not long ago did we establish our website and decided to whip out a few applications. Obviously we did not do a very good job and apologize for the waste of space. In the future our applications will include more and actually offer something someone can use. We thank you for pointing out the "pointlessness" of this application. -Aero

Wow, that's honest. I'm actually looking to replace BBEdit. I used to love it, but then the developer decided to remove features that have been there since Ver 5 when updating from Ver 7 to Ver 8. I've begged the developer to reinstate the features, but he claims he wants BBEdit to work more like other editors for the Mac. So instead of paying $80 to upgrade for the 5th time... I'm looking for one of those other apps that he mentions. Loyal no more.

I didn't bother downloading this app (I thought about trying it but then I read the reviews). If you want an excellent PHP editor then get BBEdit. I do a great deal of PHP development and I can't imagine any app having useful features that BBEdit doesn't have. Granted this app is free, but if you are going to re-invent the wheel, do it right. (I mean who needs a button to make an if/else clause??!)

oh dear! - this is quite possibly the most pointless app of all time! the feebleness of this two-trick pony's functionality is exceeded only by its ability to make a three step clicking operation out of something you could type in by hand in a nanosecond - a concept whic seems to be carried over into the download itself where a 10MB 'dmg' file spawns a 2,6MB app. absolutely sub-worthless!
