21 October 2019

Side-scrolling fish adventure game.

Overview

Fish Fillets is strictly a puzzle game. The goal in every of the seventy levels is always the same: find a safe way out. The fish utter witty remarks about their surroundings, the various inhabitants of their underwater realm quarrel among themselves or comment on the efforts of your fish. The whole game is accompanied by quiet, comforting music.

I like puzzle games and there aren't enough of them. Blobbo was the best (bar none), but Fillets shows some real promise. You manipulate two fish (of different sizes) through a maze of traps and puzzles. It's not enough to move something, you have to decide which fish to move it with, as you may need to have the big (or little) fish in a different position to solve a puzzle latter on in that level. Game play is slowish, but the game hasn't crashed my computer or done anyother vile thing, so I don't mind. Overall as a piece of freeware I have no complaints.

if you don't like annoying puzzle games, don't download this. It's a pain in the ass.
