There is no _apparent_ way to enlarge a picture, either by keyboard command or dragging. It's certainly not in the menu. Come on, this should be basic.

My work is in design, print, publishing, photography and media.. Hence, I receive hundreds of photos every week from press photographers etc. The time it takes to save all these and then open them all in Photoshop - just to read the embedded captions - is unreal. I've been searching for an app which would allow me to view full metadata quickly without having to run PS for a long time now ...and I've just found it. Well done to developer. Keep up the good work.

I forgot to give it a full credit :-) Another thing about this software is that you can cut and paste images between folders! Amazing!

I've been searching for the right software to view and organise images for a long time. And none of mac software could fit all of that needs except this one and I find it hard to believe that it's free.

I just dragged a folder of images to its window (intending to view the images therein) but instead, it moved (not copied) the folder to a different volume (the same as that displayed in its file list), but this behaviour is certainly unexpected and unwanted, and it leaves me looking elsewhere.

Very slow on folders with multiple (hundreds) images. My machine is useless while it is processing.

Fantastic, If this app had i-app integration (imovie, itunes etc.) it would replace iphoto, it has already replaced Adobe Bridge on my G4.

It would be very nice if this program respected the thumbnail images already created by your other program, CocoThumbX, instead of doing a lengthy operation of scanning them in, and then changing them to its standards.

Finaly the FIRST FREE cocoa native application dedicated to an image viewer on Mac OS X! Does it so difficult to build on cocoa native C? Anyway, this is the first one and i appreciate the work done on it. Needs some improvements but good job! Fine ;)

I am not blaming anyone or anything. There are other image viewing apps that are available and free and I will look there in the future. There are others that support viewing Canon RAW files. This is not the only game in town. ::cough:: PhotoReviewer ::cough::. I have no problem paying for requested features. I guess my constructive criticism was taken as an attack. That was not my intention, but the app is still lacking in features. I will not get into them here because the defensive developer might get upset. That being said I truly appreciate his work on an app that he releases for free to a great community of people. For most people this image viewer is fine. Just not for me.

Does it let you view CBZ and CBR files? If not ComicBookViewerAlphaA2, FFview or Jomic is the way to go. These all have the ability to browse pictures inside archives (.rar/.cbr, .zip/.cbz) if they're the right format of picture file ;)

This is a very nice-looking and well developed application. It has some nice navigational features and is coming along well between versions. If you're looking for an image viewer, give this one a try. My only non-positive comment is that I've used versions 0.7, 0.8, and 0.81 and they've all been a little sluggish on an iBook G3/500 - 640MB RAM. Flipping between photos in the larger view and the drop down sheet of preferences are a bit slower than expected. I tried all of the hints to speed things up by changing anti-aliasing and thumbnail settings - but not major change. Version 0.81 is a little faster (and has some neat new features) and maybe some optimizations in later versions will speed things up. I've tried other similar apps that did not have this lag. Keep up the good work and I'll keep trying the newer builds.

Very good app. This is extremely snappy, great for sorting through directories of pictures and resizing pictures for posting to the web or emailing. And it's free! This saves me the hassle of waiting on iPhoto to do a few simple image resizes, excellent.

No i do need some only 10.3 thinks and i do not want to pass for something. So i decided that CocoViewX only runs below 10.3. to the comment to the other Anonymous (nobody has a name here?, or afraid to be hacked? *gg*). Take a look into the preferences and you will see that you can switch between brushed metal and classic look. So where is your problem? Sven Janssen
