Jreversi 1.0 ~~ it works great on panther 10.3.6. It doesn't crash on startup or quiting, lol. The only problem, is there is no preferences that have choice for changing the piece colors or the board colors(it should be saveable for next startup of course). Black pieces on dark grey board spaces might be fine for some, but I think if you could change piece colors and the board color 2 color schemes, this game would certainly be better. It is fast though. Some moves you do and the computer responds so quickly that it seems almost simultaneous to your mouse click.

At the default level 4 Javersi plays quickly but not very well - I can win easily. At the higher level of 6 the programme slows down unacceptably - it is taking more than 1 minute for a move on my iBook G3

Regarding comments here I implemented a color option. Also some other bug fixing, so the version is now 1.1. I hope Macupdate will show the new release soon. Thanks for the comments so far.

The one good thing about Frank is he writes: 'If you are a Shareware Author you might can drop me a license for your software :-).' I do not like sites that proclaim they have free products and then say (with a PayPal button invariably) 'give me money to help keep this product free!' Bill Gates should have thought of that trick. Or Big Brother. War is Peace, Hate is Love, Shareware is Freeware. ;P But otherwise Frank has the right idea and right spirit. It's time authors stopped trying to make money off one another. Some economy we'd have. They should encourage one another - for the benefit of the public.

Thanks for your comments. I know this game is not perfect. I am just learning Java :-). I have several ideas what can be improved, but I need to find a good way to implement it. What do you think about the strength of the computer KI? On just normal computers like Dual G4 1 GHz response of the computer is several seconds when level 6 is selected. Dont think application is crashed when you select level 8 :-) , it will only take a long time to calculate.
