Space shooter game.

Overview

Space Strike is a new space shooter game. It's an arcade style shoot 'm up game with nice graphics and a lot of worlds to discover. It's based on the good old games like 'r-type' but it has an own game style. Of course with multiple weapons and items and you will encounter huge bosses.

I was able to test the game (I'm a betatester), and you can see my rating below. The game's a arcade shooter, great graphics made with photoshop/bryce and music tracks made with garageband. 12 levels (maybe too few different enemys, but the file's already 18 MB) are waiting for you in the fullversion. The fullversion costs 17 dollar. Visit www.arcademac.com for more details.

Heey, this is a fun game! Just a nice shooter. Great graphics and just the right background music. Great! You can spend hours playing this game, just because you can't take it that you can't beat that level. (It's not too difficult though, this was just for an idea of playing this great game) Especially the bosses are very nice. Good graphics and creative. Download the demo, followed by buying this nice 2D shooter game. Well done!

A fun game. The game has nice graphics for a lone-man shareware game. The bosses look very nice, and so does the scenery. I like some of the little features like the exploding volcanoes and the falling rocks in some levels. Sound is reasonable, not great but one person can't do everything and it doesn't detract from the game. Some times the game can be a little too difficult, but I like some of the extras. For example, at a certain shield rating, your hits take down your energy instead, a nice way to stay alive. Also, the higher your energy, the more power your weapons have. I love the multiple shot weapon. Some people have experienced problems with their desktop being rearranged, which I haven't noticed. The high score feature is a nice touch too. I had a few problems with the game. He should have someone read over the read me etc, just to fix a few of the grammar errors. Maybe in an update. Also, a story would be nice, just to keep the player going in the game. Sometimes the game can get a bit difficult, but maybe thats just me. Overall it's a fun game considering the lone wolf development.

Seems like a decent game for playability, but it only seems to run at one resolution, which makes it look horrid on an LCD, and it rearranges my window placement. Sorry, but until those are fixed, I can't give it a good rating.

Great arcade remake! Takes me back to my days in the arcades playing the classic "Darius". Excellent graphics; beautiful actually! Various weapon types. Could be a little faster, but that could be my 'legacy' Mac being slow too. A "4" on playability only due to speed. Otherwise playability is just right. Note to author: Please make more! And thankyou! '-)

Screws up window positions in other apps (a trash-able offense). Ship is sluggish. Gets boring fast.
