I just us PithHelmet to manage my cookies and ads, mostly automatically (donationware), which also has a handy pull down command - "Purge Session Cookies" in combination with the pull down at the bottom of my History menu "Clear History." That gets the job done for me in Safari. Would I spend $40 on this product to do this? Not in my lifetime. BTW: If you have not tried PithHelmet yet, do so, in my opinion it is a "must have" for Safari. It is an ad blocker and cookie manager in a convenient, easy to use package for simple minded users but is open to sophisticated tuning for advanced users. It is available via MacUpdate.
