I have one word for anybody who wants customization:

This program is a fully customizable search engine that lives in the menu bar, so it takes up no screen space

Everyone's complaints seem to be fixed in this version.

No installer.

No application searcher.

It's a nice alternative to use, I suppose, if you don't want to use the browser much.

as this app seems to want to know what programs are on your hard drive I suspect it is some kind of spyware

Spyware? It's not spyware, the application launcher search has a bug in it, which will be fixed soon.

Yes, I must add my dissenting voice to these other people's.
1. There is absolutely no need for an installer! Yes, it's clever, but save it for something that needs it!
2. Don't tie me into Google and your choice of search engines. The only value a piece of software like this has is to provide an alternative to Safari's built-in Google search. People use all sorts of things, from Alltheweb to Teoma to their own intranet search tools. Are you going to add a custom option for each and every user? No. So make it configurable!

Yet another unecessary installer .pkg.

These extra search engine apps, whether in the menu bar, in the dock, on the desktop or on your browser are all very well, but they're all the same.

Although I admire the developers I find it such a pity that they never give you the option to add your own search engine of preference. It's ALWAYS GOOGLE and nothing else. If I could add my own choice of engine THAT would make it truly effective - at the moment though it's somewhat superfluous, just another Google search thingy.

There are other search engines on the search menu. Email us the search engine you would like and we'll put it in the next release if possible.

Add in MacUpdate. Forget -- they're dead.

If you use Konfabulator, there's a nice widget that's customizable to whatever search engine you'd like:

Tried to use this for a quick search and the first thing it did was start asking (one by one) where a bunch of apps, which I don't own, were located. I just quit after four Microsofts and an Adobe.
