Wirecast

13.0.2
20 November 2019

Stream live from the desktop.

Overview

Wirecast lets you capture an unlimited number of input devices from live camera feeds, iOS cameras (coming soon), computer desktop, Web feeds, and more. Then add polish and professionalism to your broadcast with live switching, transitions, titles, lower thirds, and more. And finally, use the built in multiformat encoding capabilities and easily stream to integrated streaming services and CDNs.

What's new in Wirecast

Version 13.0.2:
New & Improved:
  • WIRE-16316 - Now you can set your LinkedIn Live broadcasts to be visible only to your first-degree connections. Like if you don’t want your boss’s boss to see your live stream. Now you can do that.
  • WIRE-14718 - We now correctly enable Wirecast Live captions in a YouTube event when setting that event to auto start.
Fixes:
  • WIRE-16512 - If you tried to use Osprey 825e capture cards with Wirecast 13, you may have noticed they weren’t working very well, or at all. Try again - we think you’ll be pleasantly surprised...
  • WIRE-16505 - Sometimes good intentions backfire. A fix we made in 13.0.1 caused a crash when trying to load a saved Wirecast document with chroma key. It’s better now.
  • WIRE-16500 - Fixed an issue where changes made to Color Space or Dynamic Range for a video source were not, in the strictest of terms, accurate. (At all.)
  • WIRE-14923 - Fixed an error that caused audio to sometimes not play through the monitor unless the Mix Minus button was toggled, which one would not naturally think to do.
  • WIRE-14637 - Fixed a miscellaneous issue with a miscellaneous solution for streaming with Wirecast Restreaming to certain destinations.

Tried it out, the software is great. Although if the price were $100 or less the market would be many many times larger. I won't pay more than $100.

I agree with most of these comments. If you reduced the initial cost to potential users and developed secondary revenue streams from developing add-ons, extentions and advanced professional features including third party creative enhancements you probaly would find a much bigger market undoubtly happy and satisfied because they are actually wedded-to and productively using your solution and benefiting from that use.

I think this software is meant for professionals who would not hesitate at the price. Professional video cameras cost $20,000 for the camera body plus$6000 for each lens. Thus this software is relatively cheap and worth its price. Try asking Adobe to reduce the cost of their Creative Suite. Since it is designed for professionals, Adobe is going to laugh at you.

wow. i just found out how cool this software is! You can actually broad cast your self using different kinds of features! This is pretty cool; you can add backgrounds to your video and make it look as though you are in the forest...when your actually at home. This will definately allow a lot of users to start broadcasting and present something to the net. Reading the turtorial is probably the best idea of what to do first after you download wirecast or else you wouldnt get a THINg.

Wirecast is the best product in its field! It's actually revolutionizing live broadcasts - and it works from everyone from professionals to amateurs. And the price? Actually I find it pretty cheap if a compare it to crap like Live Channel and other software. Nomaden

Wirecast rocks and is worth every penny. But, if you were actually in the market for something like this, you'd already know that.

We've been in the market for a tool like this and there's nothing like it even close in price. The closest competitor is something like $900 (LiveChannel) on Macintosh and on Windows, the closest is over $600. So it's actually cheaper than anything else and gives us what we needed -- easy to use titles for our internal webcasts.

I don't think you understand. This product is so incredibly superior to QuickTime Broadcaster that for the pro broadcast market it is DIRT cheap.
