3D golf game.

Overview

GL Golf is a 3D sports game for the casual gamer. With a realistic physics system and great simple graphics, you and up to four players can golf all 702 holes for countless hours. Everything in a real game of golf is included, such as water hazards, sand traps, trees, bushes, wind, four seasons, different time of days to play, and a driving range. Other great features include both an Internet and individual high score list, game saving, great music, iTunes controls, 3 difficulty modes, mulligans, the ability to choose your set of clubs, match/stroke play, online tournaments, and much more.

Try the 6-hole demo course for free, and then register to unlock all of the course. GL Golf is constantly being upgraded by the developer, and for free you can expect new improvements every month, with new courses being released at least four times a year!

Note: This application contains in-app and/or external module purchases.

I don't see how the real game of golf could be better simulated The software inventor is still working out a few bugs, but they are minor. The best thing to do is start with the 15-course option and then build from there. There are easy courses, and hard. There are famous, and those you've never heard of. One or two of them have greens that are virtually impossible, but I guess they truly exist. As for me, if I find myself in Morocco someday, I'll stay inside and have a beer or sixteen.

This app keeps getting better and the 2D graphics is not bad and it does give me a chuckle when the player is standing in grass up to his hips on a fairway. However i am not a programmer and really have no comprehension of what is all involved in preparing the graphics for what is no doubt a complex application to programme.

Will GL Golf's updates still be available for existing, paid-users, without having to buy it again in the Apple Store? The Apple Store doesn't recognize my paid version.

It would also be nice if the trees wouldn't disappear from time to time. As far as the ball is concerned they are still there.

I like this game. Fun to play. HOWEVER... on occasion, when I get a hole in one and press 'R' for a replay, I do not get the hole in one. I miss the hole and am set up for a birdie. Everything else is cool, but don't take away my score. That defeats the purpose of it being a game if it's not fun. There are also inconsistencies with wind strength at times.

Bonjour ! My name is Stephane Provencal. My user name is stephane.provencal@sympatico.ca and the name that i used when i'm playing GL Golf is Stephane. I love playing GL Golf. The GL Golf 2.20 version is very fantastic and realistic. I want to take advantage of the GL Golf Lite (Free) offer, but i don't own an iPhone/iPod and i am a Subscription pack owner of GL Golf. Please, yours faithfully ! Stephane Provencal stephane.provencal@sympatico.ca

Too much money for a game that has mediocre graphics and terrible music. Reminds me of my first Nintendo back in the 1980's. Nice effort.

I have been playing GL Golf for about 6 months, and it's still a fun and challenging game. I have an Intel Macbook, and can't run Tiger Woods without an expensive new Video Card, and I'm grateful for this excellent alternative. Thanx Jake!

This Golf game is very realistic and enjoyable. You actuallly are able to make "aces" and Eagles. The developer keeps up with the game and continues to update adding courses that are challenging. Developer, Jake, listens to feedback. They care!

Ray, I just fixed and uploaded a new version. I had a hard time (took 3 different computers) recreating the bug but I finally found it and took care of it. Thanks

Game play is ok, but crashes when the the High Scores window is opened, which also has no names. Will try Norton's Disk Doctor, maybe that will fix it, maybe.

I'm pretty sure this was by trying to set the default resolution to 0 by 0 pixels for new users and users that have never changed their resolution before - I let the bug slip by me somehow but its now fixed, sorry for wasting your time with the bugged version!

This is a superb golf game - everything works nicely, game is fluid and graphics are OK. I just wish it would be possible to improve the overall environment of the game (ie ambient sounds like birds, and some more vegetation surroundings). The music is excellent (too bad there's only 2 songs), and the courses' design is, in general, very good. A great game to get your mind off things for a couple of minutes once in a while.

Just to let you know, I've just tried version 1.41 on my 12inch G4 Powerbook w/OSX 10.3.6, and I seem to be experiencing the multiple score pop-up windows, despite the fact that it is meant to be fixed.

This would be a very good game if the ball stopped sooner and if the sky was an actual sky. When I went into full screen mode, the screen was blank.

Great, but needs more, and better, holes Occasional freezing when the ball is just between the water and land, and it just twitches back and forth Also, it should remember your music preference, and not always turn it on

I was looking for a simple golf game and while this was a good start, it needs some work. Golf balls bounce inconsistently and the 'physics' of the trees need some serious work. And the club swing mechanism could also be improved.

Awesome game, reminds me of my old video golfing days as a kid, but with better graphics!
