Following Bugs are known and suggestions noted: BackUp Application and ScreenSaver Bugs Bug: The "About Box" states"© Apple", should be "© LARA-A". Bug: There are no preferences but the menu is enabled. Bug: backup from single files does not work. Workaround: backup the containing folder. Suggestions Suggestion: In the "save" or "new" window there is no "new folder" button available. Workaround: create the folder in the finder first. Suggestion: Backup action window: "enter" goes to the next line in stead of just reading in the edited text. Suggestion: Backup action message window: layout will be reviewed. A "close window" button is asked for. Workaround: use the close button at the top left. Suggestion: Backup action window: If nothing is selected and "backup items" is pushed, an empty backup action message window pops up, wich can not be closed. Backup action message windows can never be closed. Workaround: minimize the message windows if they annoy. Suggestion: Backup action message window: At the end of a backup action, the messages goes away. This means users get no message telling the action ended in succesfully except from the action disappearing. Workaround: watch carefully, disappearing means "it worked". Suggestion: Double click does not edit anything. Workaround: use the edit buttons. Suggestion: .but files are binary. There is no way of knowing anything about the content by opening it in a text editor. Workaround: use property list editor from the mac developer package or any XML viewer. This will give more information. Suggestion: Bootable backups can not be made.

It would be nice if I could actually *REGAIN CONTROL OVER _MY_ COMPUTER* when I mouse the mouse/hit a key to get out of the screen saver mode, instead of having to force-reboot the computer!!

As for now, the only way to get out of the screensaver is waiting until all tasks finish. This is a known issue. On the other hand, there is a reason why the saver can not be stopped at just any point: interrupting an active backup task could result in uncompleted folders. These would cause data to be copied even though not actually needed in the next run. Troubleshooting backup tasks can be done using the application until you are sure tasks actually do finish at some point. Please send e-mail directly to me if any other problem occurs.
