Great little app, nice and easy to use. It does what it says it does.

To answer a previous comment, if you don't like it, don't use it.
And surely ... not each poor comment have to be published.

Huge download, bad interface. Poorly implemented. I thought this must of been a java app by how bad the interface was, but it says right in the about box "Made with REALbasic"

Just because you can easily make programs with REALbasic, doesn't mean you should release them. At least perfect the interface to be MacOS X savvy.

And compress that download with SitX or some other format, DMG are always huge.

I am withholding rating because a) the Finder already does a good job at this and b) it's free anyway.

I just set my desktop to "Show Item Info" and it gives me free space of my drives. What am I missing?

maybe you're missing an unnecessarily huge and ugly interface?

Well done!

A very useful thing if you think about the fact that Mac OS X may trash your prefs when the system drive gets too full.

Thanks for that great little Software!

I was going to use this to see how much disk space I had left, but after the huge download I was out of disk space!

Aw, too bad.

But you seriously gotta wonder (something this ace evidently doesn't do).

- All it is, is a single nib file of perhaps 10 KB to 15 KB. It has a table view and a bunch of text fields - and that's it.

- The number crunching needed to make these calculations takes about 20 lines of code. The crunching needed to draw those histograms in the rightmost column of the table view takes about ten lines of code.

So where does this obscene bulk come from?

Is this REALbasic? Or is it just poor programming?

I've been trying to download volspace as it would be very useful, however, every time I click on the 'download now' link I'm returned with a '404 not found' page, I could really do with this app!! Any suggestions for an alternate mirror would be great, thanks.

I'm fairly resourceful at locating softwares that have gone 'AWOL', but not this time. I could not find it anywhere, sorry. Perhaps someone who has a copy of this software will read your post and send you a copy of VolSpace.

If it makes you feel any better, I have a copy of VolSpace lying around, but it crashes on launch.

I take that back. my computer was having trouble and i attributed VolSpace's failure to open on its age, not my wacky computer. anyhow, I've made it available on my website.

lemme know if this fails to work.
