Trans Lucy for Mac2.1.1

08 December 2007

Watch DVDs in a translucent floating window.

What is Trans Lucy for Mac

Trans Lucy ... What's on the TV? Plug it in to your Mac and find out. Or toss in a DVD or even play a movie file. Keep right on working though because you have Trans Lucy 2, the video player that lets you work and watch at the same time.

Trans Lucy's video display floats above the rest of your windows so you get an unobstructed view of your favorite movies. Oh, but don't worry you can still see your work because you can change the opacity of Trans Lucy's display. A clearly unique way to keep entertained.

Trans Lucy lets you watch all kinds of media: DVDs (including DVD Archives/VIDEO_TS folders), QuickTime movies (files or streams), or plug in a video camera or other video source. Trans Lucy also lets you catalog your media so you can quickly switch from one video to the next.

Why apple is so retarded about not having these cool features. My computer starts getting old, I can't use it. It's already bearing what it shouldn't support.

The concept is simple, yet after trying it out the execution is there. And it is not quite the same as Window Shade X, here the video always stays transparent and at the forefront, yet always lets you have access to the stuff "behind" it. I might just have to pick this up.

this is also great if you have to watch educational videos or anything for work and want to be able to take notes at the same time (and still be able to watch full screen and not use two screens) if you're trying, try on a few different backgrounds because it works really differently depending on whats behind it

I took a suggestion and pulled out 6th season buffy (oddly, I own one season of buffy and it's the sixth), and started playing I wouldn't use this for general watching, because very quickly, I just ended up watching buffy normally but this is great for computer watching in general because if something comes up, you don't HAVE to stop your movie so when I couldn't remember something about backplot, I made the screen more transparent and looked up what I wanted to on wikipedia, while watching or when a little beep sounded letting me know I had new mail, I could make the screen more transparent and check to see if it was important This is great for multi-slacking or for watching something where the action scenes go on for twenty minutes (and they aren't really worth watching) or where there's a good movie but some painfully slow minutes of bad dialogue

Cool... But I see why some people might not use the translucent option, for what I do, I might actually use this feature.

As others have stated, A for originality though I'm not sure when I'd actually use it.

Neat concept, but I'm a fan of the one-thing-at-a-time approach to work!
