InforMac free download for Mac

InforMac0.1b1

12 May 2005

Similar to Apple System Profiler.

Overview

InforMac is an AppleSystemProfiler-like utility that displays information about your computer such as hardware, software, and settings. With InforMac you can save this information as a file, protect the personal data it contains, and read the file on any other computer.

What's new in InforMac

  • Tiger compatible
  • Added print function (that's right, you can print the app list)
  • Some of the panels can be exported to html/xml
  • Library now supports FTP
  • Some new info available
  • Fixes memory leaks
  • German and Japanese have been temporarily removed
  • NOTE: This software require a HUGE amount of spare time, I'm unable to fix all the bugs and I'm really sorry about that

Not bad. Not bad at all. Saving a "computer ID card" is a nice idea. I hope the developer keeps working on it and it stays free. ;)

Nice utility. Great UI. Still has some small bugs but not much for a 0.003b4 Looking forward to see this cool app evolution.

Been looking for a replacement for Apple Sys Profiler since it tends to lock up on my system. InforMac 0.03b3 is a great app. Gives me most of the info I want.

I've re-uploaded InforMac because there was a bug on the main window with english systems. Really sorry about it.

Nice display in the views that work. Clear and beautifully rendered. However, on my Quicksilver G$ (867 MHz), it just keeps on displaying "loading…" in both "Processor(s)" and "PCI and AGP", apparently unable to retrieve any information.

This is a great app. It simly beats the Apple System Profiler. In this app you can view more info about your computer. Peoples that are new to Mac may understand more in this app than in Apple System Profiler. Keep up the good work!

Yes, it finally works! It's missing a section for SCSI devices, for us old fogeys who prefer sacrificing goats to the SCSI gods to battling the USB and firewire demons, and "Memory" seems to hang. It doesn't identify my computer type (Powermac 7600 with Sonnet Crescendo G3/400). The memory tool hangs.

Absolutely fantastic! Much faster than Apple's built-in profiler, and much more down to earth. Basically, it tells me the stuff I need to know. It crashes whenever I click "ATA devices"- I think the fact that I have none may be the problem (iBook 466 SE). In any event, this is awesome. Keep up the good work! PS: I think it would be neat if there was a timer that showed how long you've had the current version of the operating system.

Fan-bloddy-tastic! What a great little app. Thanx. Runs fine on 10.2.6 BTW, could you add: - computer uptime: separated into log-in, reboot, and longest uptime (dates) - HD/RAM usage meters
