The developer has removed the program from his website, I think.

I can't believe this joker is charging for this. Use SmallImage 2 or GrimRipper for free.

I find SmallImage to be a better program for my needs at a much better cost (free).

SmallImage allows you to choose what metadata is erased, and it can process files without recompressing them.

Macupdate download link is dead. On the developer's page the price is $14.95 NOT $5 as listed in MacUpdate. 1/13/05

Could this be extended to do the same to TIFF images? (strip/clean alpha channel, header etc). A Mac OS X Machine has many TIFFs used by the system, and there's no easy way of telling if something extra gets buried there.

What do you want to clean in Tiff? There is no loss in there. You don't know much man!

You are completely wrong. There is information that could be removed from TIFF files. That being tags, preview image, alpha layers, etc. Don't assume someone does not know what they are talking about if you don't know.

I think its great, easy, intuitive for noob-users. It does the job really well.

Great piece work!

Use "GrimRipper CM" instead...it's free and performs the same functions.

GrimRipper CM won't remove meta-data.
I recommend SmallImage which does the same job, and it's FREE.

I second the GrimReaper suggestion. It's worked great for me.
