I have just become curious to test this application. I must say that I have no experience with blogging, but I edit a few websites. Well, I was pleasantly surprised: five minutes after downloading the files, I was able to publish a test page on one of my websites. Very easy to do - and also to insert bold, italics, links, images, etc. What I do especially like is that one is not dependent upon a blogging system, but can just publish on one's own website. It is a true Mac application: intuitive, clear. And with some HTML knowledge, it seems easy to devise one's own templates, beside the few ones available with Xpublish. There seems to be one important limitation (but I do still need to check that with the developer): I have seen no way to limit the number of entries per page, or an archive function. Obviously, for somebody who wants to blog frequently and also to keep messages archived, this presents a major problem - but maybe it will be addressed in a future release? For the time being, however, I think that it can already be recommended to people who want to be able to post easily a few announcements on a page, or a blog with few entries. Moreover, the application allows for the creation of an unlimited number of announcement pages/blogs, so the investment may be worth the price if you can use it for several websites, while it would probably be too expensive for just one as long as the issue above has not been addressed. Let's hope that the developer will still bring significant upgrades to this promising application! He deserves to be congratulated for what he has already achieved.

P.S.: unfortunately, the developer does not seem too eager to answer questions from potential customers. While I liked the ability to post directly on websites (without having to go through some blogging system), the absence of any answer to my questions decided me to give up the idea of using Xpublish, to open an account with Blogger and to buy the excellent ecto. Still, I believe that Xpublish, provided it would be improved, has a future.
