Well, I agree that its faster than APOD Grabber, but the fact that the Developers gave their app 5 stars really makes me wonder. Yes, I have tried it out and it works ok, but the pics are saved in a weird location. Other than that, I have nothing to complain about.

If you're allowed to use it for free, why is it registered as shareware with a $5 fee?

The developers awarded themselves 5 stars. Well, that's not right and for obvious reasons. Well, at least they were somewhat up front about it as many developers are obviously giving themselves 5 stars for their crappy software under cover of others email accounts. Still, these autoAPOD developers didn't mention that their "well, sort of free" software product is feature crippled until you pay the $5 registration fee. I'm starting to feel like Diogenes and his lamp vainly looking for someone who's gonna be honest.

APOD Grabber is a fine application but it's also huge and an application. AutoAPOD is free, installs as a preference, and doesn't require you to do the fetch daily yourself. It's also about 10 times faster then APOD Grabber.
