View the tail end of text files.

Overview

Multitail lets you view one or multiple files like the original tail program. The difference is that it creates multiple windows on your console (with ncurses). It can also use colors while displaying the logfiles, for faster recognition of which lines are important and which are not. It supports regular expressions. It has interactive menus for editing given regular expressions and deleting and adding windows.

What's new in Multitail

This is not a mac program, it's a generic unix program for the terminal. There are literally tens of thousands of those available through macports/homebrew/etc, IMHO, this does not deserve an entry on this site.

OS X = UNIX Relax. In general, people are not rushing to post lots of command-line apps on MacUpdate, so don't let it bother you. This is a program leftover from the legacy days of PPC, when MU was a bit more wild west and package managers were not as established as they are now. And FYI, this can be installed via MacPorts: http://www.macports.org/ports.php?by=name&substr=multitail or Fink: http://pdb.finkproject.org/pdb/browse.php?summary=multitail
