It works. I'm stunned. I plugged my new (well, USED; new to me, anyway) MP2100 in via the little dongle thingy, and a keyspan serial to USB adapter, and connnected. And installed packages. Immediately. Thanks!

Under Tiger, contrary to my experience with Panther, Escale worked for applescript send of text to newton to my RouteParseSA4 and LMParserSA4 from my SimpleTextEditor#2. Now, with Tiger, I need never be lost using Delorme Street Atlas USA export text going into my custom newton navigation program. Built in ethernet, with appletalk on, thru farallon ethernet card. I suspect endpoint obscurities with callbacks or layers of communication makes unconnecting difficult. This is real tough stuff to do. I can't, Steve Weyer did with newtscape. Tiger renamed my computer the factory name (at least while I'm operating under Tiger), so I had to go look for it on the newton rather than use my name.

Amazing 2003 technology for your newton! This program allows me to use OSX to install packages via wireless 802.11b using Apple's rendevous automatic configuration! Sheesh, it works with Appletalk also. Uses Newton's built in dock module to connect to OSX based mac via serial/appletalk/ethernet/wireless Also does a partial sync of OSX address book with Newt. This feature seems incomplete as of 1/20/04, but didn't screw anything up either! Marty
