Salling Clicker is a fabulous piece of add on software for Mac OSX. To be able to control music on the Mac with my mobile phone (from the other end of the room is great), especially when one has AirPort Express surround sound. There are also plenty of third party developers that make plug-ins to control many other applications, these improve it even more too. totalcontrolprint

So, is it right to say that for the Nokia 6230 no events are supported? So, no autoconnect, no proximity, no incoming call notice and so on. If that's the case, it would fair to emphasise this: half of the application was events management (BTW the half that I really used). Maybe it's just me who downloaded blindly this update in the hope of something that wasn't there. Maybe I just cannot figure it out.

Salling Clicker is probably the best remote control application available for any platform. In this day and age where more and more machines can be woken by bluetooth it's great to be able to put your machine to sleep or wake it remotely. Itunes control as usual is excellent. Development and scripting are simple and easy. If there was ONE thing that I think Salling Clicker is lagging on, it's CID for a lot of the symbian phones. If it can be done with Bluephone Elite and has been for a while I would hope it gets into clicker sooner rather than later. Overall a MUST HAVE btw: if you have problems w/ your phone on setup remember to restart your phone.

I've been a paying Salling Clicker user for a year now, and I've just participated in the Clicker 3.0 beta. And I can tell you this: Clicker has always been an excellent, outstanding application, but with version number 3, it has become even better. The 3 release has virtually no bugs (believe me, I've been looking for them for the past two months), and is prettier, more user-friendly and more powerful than ever before. Add to this the fact that there is no other application for OS X that does the same, and you have an app that is not only well worth the money, but a *must-have* for any OS X user with a supported bluetooth device. And, for those of you who haven't tried Clicker before, do so! It offers so many ways of controlling your computer remotely, and it might even change the way you use our computer entirely. In ten years time, I'm sure there will be many practical and powerful extended computer-usage solutions like this one, but right now, there's only Salling Clicker...

a great program, i have been evaluating it with my Nokia 7610 and it is oustanding. the only gripe i have with it is that you cannot purchase via PayPal. I am one of those guys that refuses to get a credit card due to the financial troubles that are usually associated with such things, and it is just a shame that the developer is unable to implement a system whereby people can pay for his software using PayPal. I could use a friends/relatives card, but that would mean that the license wouldn't be in my name. As said, the software is great - and I will gladly buy a license as soon as PayPal is supported!

We are begging for 6230 support since almost a year! Would you please finally implement it? Meanwhile, I don't think my 20 bucks were a good investment, there was only one release in the last year (!), the software has to be activated, and lots of phones are not supported. Come on now, don't let Salling Clicker die!

When I first got my T68i, I wanted to see if it worked OK with the Mac, so I did a MacUpdate search for "ericsson". I found "Ericsson Client", which worked great, so I went to see Jonas Salling's homepage. I saw Salling Clicker, and downloaded it. I was completely blown away! I also had some trouble with this software, so I emailed Salling. 5 minutes later I got an answer which fixed my problems, right away. I've impressed countless friends with this piece of software, including my family! Jonas Salling has made the Ericsson work with the Mac so well that Mac is the number one platform for Sony Ericsson phones. 3 thumbs up for Jonas Salling!

I hate to say it, but this just blows Veta/Romeo out of the water. Salling Clicker is so much better that it's not even funny. What would be nice is if the SallingClicker folks would knock 8 bucks off the price of the app for those of us who already shelled out for the inferior Veta Universal. Oh well, I'll buy it anyway! So far I have just used it with iTunes, but I saw that you can also use it with the Indigo home automation thing, which is just too cool!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I've been waiting for one of these for my Nokia 3650 for ages. Up to now I've been getting by with Romeo and Veta Universal. I thought that setup was pretty cool, but this is something else. From the moment you begin to install it's clear that this is a highly polished, quality product. It installs so quickly, efficiently and cleanly you'll wonder if that really is all there is to it. Both phone and Mac are ready within two or three clicks and as many seconds. Open your System Preference panel and the pretty little icon is sitting there waiting for you to get started. Setting up again takes about 2 clicks and that's it. You'll wonder why all these things can't be as easy as this. I admit I've only used this to control iTunes so far, but that blew me away. The control is easy and intuitive for a start. Showing the current track time, both elapsed and remaining is nice, and what I would expect from a decent application like this. What I didn't expect was for it to show me the artwork of the currently playing track, and to give me full search and browse ability over my entire iTunes library. It's just incredible. Saying this app is well designed, well written, and well presented just doesn't do it justice. It is faultless. It has turned my phone into an iTunes remote control, with full color screen and navigation capabilities. And that's only one of the things it does! Twenty bucks never looked so cheap. Awesome.

You have a brilliant product Jonas. The changes in the display are nice and the countdown timer on iTunes is brilliant also. Reconnect works brilliant and much faster. I love that the interface has been simplified and ascpt editing has been passed out to script editor as the prefpane window was too small to edit scripts effectively. I can't wait till I get a P900!

I hate to say it, but ROMEO also has palm support via Veta Universal for palm - for $5 less, with much better technical support. I reported a bug and it was fixed in 2 days! beat that. I'll write a reivew of Salling once I've tested it more thoroughly.

This definitely has a couple advantages over Romeo: menubar and preference pane integration make it easier to use than a stand-alone app. But Romeo has some better options like actual mouse control, system volume control, and DVD Player control (i can't get Enter to work for me with this app). Still a great app with much better control over iTunes, etc. If it has the other features above I would pay for it instead of using Romeo since it's free.
