Reply to This Bob: Why is it here? Because Mac users use it. I hate Quicken. I use SplashMoney with MoneyDance. They make a perfect pair. The conduit works well with the Mac, allowing me to export out of SplashMoney either into MoneyDance when I want, or to Excel, etc. The developers plan a Mac Desktop application (not soon, though). So in the mean time this is a very useful tool for Mac users who want to transfer financial data between their Palm devices (Treo for me) and their Macs, and it's especially useful for people who don't like Quicken on the Mac.

I just downloaded this, and read the following gem in the documentation: "To transfer data (Accounts, Transactions, Categories and Classes) from Quicken into SplashMoney you must export QIF files from Quicken and import them into SplashMoney." If I understand this correctly, it means there's no true 2 way synching with Quicken, and of course there's no Mac desktop component. So why is this software listed on Mac Update ? Unless Mac users want to do an import-export merry-go-round every time they want to synch, this has about as much to do with Macs as fish do with bicycles.

What a ripoff! They give away a "free" version on Handango and then immediately release a paid upgrade!

So how are you being ripped off if you have a free version? Is someone holding a gun to your head to upgrade? No.

Brilliant! Great UI. Easy to use. Best on the market. Now needs a Mac desktop component. Come on chaps at SplashData. Make it so.

I've tried them all and this is as good if not the best. Great interface. Shame there isn't a Mac desktop component to complement the PDA component as with all other Splashdata software.

I use SplashMoney every day on my Palm Tungsten without any problems. It's my main software for keeping track of my accounts! Great software! I don't understand the negative comments...
