Somehow, the MU interface freaks out if I type in emojis, dumping the rest of the comment post. That's not nice. It's an MU bug.

The final version of v3.5.3 has a couple minor bugs. I reported them to the developer and was promised that fixes were imminent. The minor bugs are: (1) Don't do the "Security Setup" because clicking on the app icon in the interface will bomb the app. [In fact, the Grammarian menu is itself touchy and may occasionally bomb the app if you've accessed it.]. (2) The 'Check for Updates' gives the wrong installed version as 3.5.2 when in fact you have 3.5.3 installed. - - The developer was quite responsive. Keep an eye out for the fix update.

3.5.3 BETA is available as of today at the developer's download page. [https://linguisoft.com/downloads/downloads] - - NOTE: That Apple has still not fixed the relevant macOS grammar check bug as of macOS 13.3 (*grumble*lazy*Apple*). - - So far, here are the beta's RELEASE NOTES: - Fixed: 1. Updated links to online dictionary lookup. 2. Resized Document Check window command-key alignment. 3. Fixed Unicode formatting offsets with RTFD clipboard checking. 4. New preference settings for clipboard types. 5. Fixed the minimum macOS system version requirements for several resources. The resources wouldn't load under older systems. 6. Fixed Input menu autocomplete character commit. QuarkXPress and FireFox cause IMK blocking when the commit text length is zero under El Capitan. 7. Fixed AutoType Styled Paste expansions. - New: 1. Document Check Window Option (from Options menu) Select first indexed default suggestion: When ON: The default suggestion selection is the first actual suggestion. The error is shown as it will be replaced in the sentence. The user can then click "Correct" or "Next". When OFF: The default suggestion selection is the first index position. The error is shown as it actually is in the sentence. The user must arrow down or click the appropriate suggestion to click "Correct". Grammarian PRO3 Ventura Ready - Known issues: The macOS Spelling/Grammar Services are broken in Ventura 13.2 whereas macOS grammar check is not functional. This is a new Apple bug (only in Ventura). We reported this to Apple, and this still hasn't been fixed as of macOS 13.3.

3.5.2 is the current version. It was updated 2023-12-07. RELEASE NOTES: Fixed: 1. The Document Check Edit window is now resizable: Document Edit Window is resizable. 2. Fixed out-of-bounds error on Document sentence edit. 3. Document Check Window positional changes are now saved (split views, etc.). Apple broke this in Monterey. Now, this works again. 4. Error detection accuracy with the RTFD Clipboard format (Scrivener, Pages, etc.) 5. Paste Changes stopped working on old macOS systems (High Sierra, etc.). It still worked under newer macOS systems. 6. Crash on Install-Success window. 7. Crash on closing Writing Rules window. 8. Reenabling of Writing Rules Window ADD functionality. - - Known issues: macOS Spelling/Grammar Services are broken in Ventura 13.1. macOS grammar check is not functional. We filed a bug report with Apple to fix this.
