Melody Player is a little program for playing music files created with Harmony or Melody Assistant, as well as Midi, MOD and S3M files. Melody player includes the light version of the digital sound database, so it doesn't need any Midi card or interface. Melody player is freeware.

The only comment here is now 5 years old and outdated. I think it still does not do external MIDI (though I didn't verify), and the interface does have some carry over from older days, but it is really excellent software and has been updated, including the interface, over the years.

Only plays through software instruments; no way to get this app to play to an external MIDI synth. And the interface is extremely ugly - it looks like it dates from System 6 days.
