The destiny of a galaxy hangs in the balance and you're in command. Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds lets you lead the armies of Star Wars to victory in intense, real-time strategy clashes. Enter the fray as Darth Vader and the Galactic Empire, the Rebel Alliance with a legion of Jedi, the greedy Trade Federation, the Royal Naboo and other civilizations in campaigns that will determine the final outcome of the Galactic Civil War. Version 1.1.1 adds the following:

Fixed issue where you could not play a game if you had a hard drive named "Data".
Fixed issue with Jaguar on some systems where it would fail to pick a valid Draw Sprocket context and not launch, or would default to the wrong monitor leaving you with a black screen. It is recommended that you delete the file "SWGB Preferences" or "SWGBCC Preferences in System Folder->Preferences (or ~/Library/Preferences on OSX).
Monitor picking dialog now has proper theme background.
Game now launches URLs properly under 10.2.
Optimized the blitters; they're now roughly 10-25% faster in some cases.
3rd party .rms (random map) files should load and run fine now.
Screenshots (via F13) are now saved in the game's Screenshots folder.
Command-Q now prompts you to quit when in the middle of a game.
Updated build to use CodeWarrior Pro 8.
Updated to use release version of OpenPlay 2.1.

Brilliant, but is that it? I must say I was expecting a little bit more out of this demo.

Really good game mind.

My uncle bought the full version and it is really quite good.

Essentially, this is Age Of Empires With lasers and droids. While fun, If you've played AOE it gets somewhat repetetive

dont buy this game it gets boring after like a day. when you have played starcraft, warcraft, generals, ect. this game looks awful. there is 3 types of laser that do damage to certain things and there is a too many upgrades not worth it. the sound is the same and annoying.

Unfortunately this demo offers very little of the actual game, and will be some what frustrating determining what it does offer

it is a great game especcaly when you get to make your own level ivv had for a year and im still not tired but the missions are impossible without cheats like recources its rediculise theres like no nova and almost everything needs nova even bloody grenade troopers

Love the four resources you need to get! Starcraft was too simple in regards to the enconomy, StarWars does better. Like all the different players you can pick from. In single player the game is as stable as they come. Look out in multiplayer though. It goes out of sync all the time and even though it auto saves out of sync games it is not fool proof.
