Contrary to the DYMO information, the 330Turbo will not run under Lion. The DYMO info says it is supported (for my model 90884, using a USB connection). It does not work. Even after installing an reinstalling, copying old Snow Leopard files, it does not work.
DYMO's claims are false about the 330.
When I use Bootcamp (for Windows) on my MacBook Pro, the 330 Turbo works fine.
DYMO has failed the Mac users on the 330 series. They just weren't willing to look at the requirements of Lion and update their software.
I give them a one star for their Mac support. On the PC side, three stars
This has got to be one of the most awful pieces of software ever made for Mac. Over the last 20 years, neither CoStar nor DYMO have ever been able to get it right for Mac users. The interface is pathetic. The "import wizard" is useless. Tried "wizarding" all my address books from version 7.x into version 8.3.1.1539 and couldn't print a single label. Reverted back to version 7.x. Can anyone recommend a label printer with decent software? I am so sick and tired of this company and their feeble attempts to support Mac users. What a joke.
Finally. Hours and hours of trying to find the driver on the Dymo website and it's not there!!!
Darn if I could not find the installer disc for my LabelWriter 330 after all these years!
The directions to look in the user/library/printers folder sent me to the old back up hard drive and presto, there it was, the LabelWriter 330 driver, Ver 6.5 all 475k of it.
Copied it over to the OS X 10.6.7 printers folder, closed all the open windows and then erased the current label writer (DYMO 007) and reinstalled the LabelWriter one more time, this time I had a choice of drivers, the DYMO driver (no not this one) or the LabelWriter 330 (finally) and viola, the Dymo software no longer says no driver found, and the printing works like a charm.
Labels and Addresses now works correctly as well. When the driver was the DYMO driver the Labels and Addresses would try to print a label, actually it would print on a label, but the fields were completely misaligned, now it's the way it used to be with Mail Factory.
If anyone needs a copy of the driver I will send it to a few people and they can then share it further!
Thank you for the suggestion to look for the old driver, having lost the installer disc, I had no clue what to look for.
You can be sure I will be burning this to a CD and keeping it safe.
@kodster It sounds like you solved the problem! Can you be more specific about the steps you took? I took the LabelWriter 310.app from my backup drive folder /User//Library/Printers/LabelWriter 310.app and placed this into my current harddrive at the same location. However, when the DYMO application (tried both v7 and v8) starts up I get an error that no printer can be found and the application exits.
I would appreciate your help. If you can just detail the steps you took or give me a link to some other resources. Thanks in advance!
The list above mentions support for the 330 (mine is model 93033). This is not correct. The software does NOT include drivers for the 330 model, and the installer confirms this:
Printer Support
DYMO Label v.8 supports the following printer models:
Earlier LabelWriter printer models are NOT supported by this version of DYMO Label software. In addition, the printers in the list above are only supported when connected through a USB port on your Macintosh computer.
There is no sign of 330 listed in the compatible printers, and it says earlier models are not supported.
The very latest software which came out yesterday purports to support the 330 but the only driver available is just labeled "Twin Turbo" and it doesn't print out correctly. I am now forced to buy a Turbo 450. I just switched to Labels & Addresses and will start my database all over again. I no longer wish to support this company.
I've just discovered they've dropped support for the 330 too. There is NO legitimate reason for this not to work under OSX Lion. They're FORCING a hardware upgrade and blaming the OS upgrade.
Horrible software, totally not Mac-like, obviously a weak port of the Windows version -- but pretty much the only way to effectively use your DYMO Labelwriter...
I've got a 330 (93033) and I've got it connected to the Mac via USB. There is NO 330 listed in the available driver software, and the program refuses to acknowledge it's connected.

Hi I'm having trouble with my MacBook Pro Ver 10.6.8 and the Dymo labelwriter 400 software. I've tried a number of times to download the software and it seems to download okay, but when I go to open the program its declines saying I do not have the correct driver running the printer. the only driver option on my printer list is Dymo Label Printer which I select. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks Gary
Did you have your LabelWriter 400 installed on a previous Mac? Do you still have that Mac or a back up copy of it's hard drive? The driver is still in that User Folder.
LabelWriter 330 Turbo (models 90884, 93033 & 93038, USB ONLY)
LabelManager PCII
LabelManager 450
LabelManager 450D
LabelPoint 350
The LabelWriter 300, 330, and 330 Turbo printers mentioned in the list above are only supported when connected through a USB port on your Macintosh computer. Printers connected to a serial port or using a Serial-to-USB adapter are NOT supported.
With some video cards set to display thousands of colors, you may notice that label shadows are distorted or have the wrong colors. If this happens, you can either turn off drop shadows or switch the display to either 256 colors or millions of colors and the distortion will not occur.

If you have any 300 series LabelWriter, call DYMO tech support and tell them you have upgraded to Lion and it doesn't work.
The company policy (though not publicized) is that they will let you send it in and exchange it for a new LabelWriter 450.
