Best UI of the apps I've had a look at. Easy to use, intuitive and nice looking.
But Barcode Producer's number of codes is quite limited, it even cannot create QR codes. And then there's the ridiculously high price ...

Glad you like our interface design. In response to your feedback:

- QR Codes: Barcode Producer 6.5, released on March 28th 2011, adds support for QR Codes. We've outdone ourselves (if I say so myself...) with an extremely nice implication, support for URL shorteners, even built-in support for making barcodes for the App Store. Check it out.

- Other barcode symbologies: We see Barcode Producer's symbology support as extremely comprehensive. Don't be fooled by programs that list the same barcode types over and over with slightly different name variations -- Barcode Producer supports nearly every barcode type in active use today.

- Cost: Barcode Producer isn't expensive at all, especially for what you get -- a quality, professional barcode generation product built for designers and supported by a team of professionals.

I was using Mac Barcode label until I tried the demo for this. Since my client was paying for the program (I have no use for it other than product packaging), price wasn't a big issue. This application rocks! The Help me choose button is a time-saver, especially with the myriad barcode formats out there. It does everything you could possibly want and a few things you didn't know you needed. Keep up the great work (but work on the price so other people who are cash-strapped can use it!).

This is a great little program to create professional barcodes. The reason it does not get five stars is because it's so very expensive for a one trick pony. I was able to get my client to pay for it but I personally wouldn't have. There are other limited free barcode programs and you can make them yourself for free with the correct font. However these alternatives are not as fast, flexible and easy as BP.
I would value this at about $75. I would also be willing to bet 2 to 3 times as many people would pay for it at that price as well.

Yes, agree. I stumped up for it - because it's without question the best in class, and I really needed the convenience and quality - but it's kind of pricey nonetheless. It's a great piece of software, without question, but you do end up feeling you've been gouged for it: whereas if it was in the $50-70 bracket...

And I would like to see an option to outline the fonts in the final barcodes. Then again, perhaps that is a well hidden feature, or maybe I'm just getting too old to be able to find such things.
