ClipEdit is a small application that allows you to create and edit text and picture clippings. ClipEdit also exports any internet address to an internet clipping. ClipEdit is very flexible with many customizable settings. And now with the handy toolbar editing a text clipping is even easier yet! Try it, if you use text clippings frequently you'll wonder how you lived without clipEdit for so long.
What's New
Version 3.0.3:
Fixed copy causing a picture clipping image to flip.
Cutting a selection in a picture clipping now always works as expected.
Requirements
PPC / Intel, Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later
There are many more uses I do with it (by years!), typically little notes about the content of a folder, easy to be opened in the Finder.
In the Finder windows toolbar I putted the icon of ClipEdit, so that I ca easily drag a clip to be edited.
Yes, because the developer told me (years ago!) that there is no way to ask this kind of document to be EVER opened with ClipEdit
Nothing like it. Beyond handy. Clips are really underrated; you can see their contents in the preview column, and I habitually drag from Safari, from the web. ClipEdit is invaluable!
Very nice app. I don't edit clips everyday, but when I need to, this is the app to use.

In reply to the comment asking if ClipEdit is still being developed. ClipEdit was put in the shelf for a long while since it was written in REALbasic and we have moved on to Cocoa only development. However, with the Intel Mac announcement and ClipEdit being our last REALbasic application aging poorly with each OS release, we felt the time was right to re-write it from scratch in Cocoa! ClipEdit 3.0 is in the late stages of development and should be shipping before the first Intel Mac appears to complete your Intel application toolbox. :) Cheers - ES

Had a picture clipping a client sent me that I couldn't get Preview or Photoshop to import.... so ClipEdit came to the rescue to export to a JPG.

Not Cocoa, hence no emacs keys. Thus, most definitely NOT perfect.
Very handy utility for editing the contents of clippings. ClipEdit runs well and the new version adds a number of new features and controls over your clippings. And it's now free as well.
A Rocking upgrade.
