Passenger is a server account creation and password generation tool that will import tab and comma-delimited text, ASIP 6.3 and Mac OS X XML and create account information and passwords for Mac OS X Server 10.2 and newer, Macintosh Manager, Web, Master Key, and Master Spell. It includes tools migrate account folders, set permissions in batch and Eudora client settings customization and distribution.
What's New
Version 4.1.1:
Removing rows now properly removes actual data rows instead of just removing them in that interface
Permissions now allows replacement tag in chmod arguments to allow ACLs to be set per users.
Added ACLs Arguments construction window to Permissions to help more easily build the chmod arguments for Access Control Lists.
Requirements
Intel, Mac OS X 10.4 or later.

Completely invaluable tool - used every time I need to upgrade a clients server.
Dirt cheap for what it does. Highly recommended :D

This app is great. We use it often to set permissions down to users' home folders on the server. It's the only app I've ever seen with a batch permissions feature. (of course you could write your own script, but it would take work). We also use it on our images with custom software. Old classic apps often need everyone read/write for them to work. And that's just batch permissions.
I don't even use the rest of this app (my boss does all that server work) but I know that it is indispensable to him).
I've never had issues with it not remembering my registration.
Oh, and the developer rocks! He not only replied to an email I sent him within hours, but the feature I requested was implemented within 24 hours!!!

Typical REALbasic App...
It WILL NOT REMEMBER it's registration. I purchased this app to move 130 users from Panther Server to a clean install of Tiger Server. Every single time it starts up, it asks for the registration code.. and I should trust this with my directory info???
If you're registration will not stick, then Passenger is unable to write the preferences file. As of version 3.0, the preferences are stored in the Passenger application folder for better portability of registration and settings as you move from server to server. I also cover this in my tips and troubleshooting and the latest verison 3.3 gives an alert when preferences cannot be written and what to do about it. You'll also find that if you write me directly, I give the answer very quickly by email as well.
There are currently no troubleshooting comments. If you are experiencing a problem with this app, please post a comment.
