Always looking for efficient, usable and feature complete software to display folders of images. So decided to try this one. Fail! Here's why...

Any application that sets itself as the default for handling specific file types without obtaining a confirmation from the user is crap! Arcsoft Photo + does exactly this. And does it without any warning or confirmation from the user!

I found lots of usability issues, but this "feature" by itself earns a lousy rating.

To the developers....try again.

Note to the developer: please add following keyboard shortcuts - Enter to switch to full screen, Escape to quit application. Also a preference option to start full screen would be nice. Cheers!

I disagree.

Fullscreen should be ⌘+F

Quit should be ⌘+Q

Escape should NOT quit the app, it should only leave fullscreen mode (just like any other app).

Is it really too difficult for you to press ⌘+Q to quit? (just like any other app).

Let's agree to disagree. Some apps do quit on Escape, and yes, it's a lot easier to hit one key in the upper left corner rather than ⌘+Q. Same goes for fullscreen.

I'm unaware of any Mac appp that quits with Escape, but I suppose it's possible. It's common on Windoze.

I hate keyboard commands, so I only use about 6 of 'em, but unless you have carpal tunnel or some other disability, it is NOT a lot easier to hit Escape than ⌘+Q. It's not like the keys are on opposite sides of the keyboard, requiring two hands.

If you're using a MBP, this app may allow you to change your desired shortcut so you don't strain yourself pressing 2 keys.

I'm not going to argue with you. I am used to certain keyboard shortcuts in this viewer
so I thought it would be nice to have them in Photo+, which I like better. I didn't realise that changing two key shortcuts to one key would make life for some people so much more complicated.

Obviously pressing 2 keys is too complicated for YOU.
Doesn't seem to be a problem for anyone else here.

You think this developer should change his software to match another developer's just because you're used to it that way and think it would be "nice"?

What about everyone else that's used to the NORMAL commands of ⌘+F and ⌘+Q? I suppose satisfying YOU is more important?

It really sucks when developers use non-standard shortcuts, because then you have to try to remember a new set of commands for one specific app. Why don't you contact the developer of Viewer and ask them to switch to NORMAL shortcuts?

Oh, I forgot...pressing 2 keys is too much work for you. Guess you're just SOL then, aren't you?

BigJohnson, I'm no longer using this app, so you can consider my suggestion to the developer withdrawn. Get a life.
