Well it seems that version 6.0 has the same problems as the previous versions: the only thing that happens is you get a dialog telling you that you must select a user, but there is no way to do that. Completely useless without this bug corrected. The fact that this bug persist through a major revision (from 5.x to 6.0) shows what you expect from this developper...

Lot of good this app did! After I entered a new user, it crashed every time. So I reinstalled. Then it gave me the error message "Must select a new user" even though I was trying to. Reinstalled a third time. Crashes right after starting now. The tour on the website makes this look like an awesome app for tracking workouts, too bad it is too buggy to use!

did you try deleting the .plist file (preferences file) that is associated with this app? do that and then launch the app and see if it is usable. and you know, you might try contacting the developer to get some help.

Hi There!

I am the developer of Personal Training Workstation. I noticed this posting today as I was updating the listing for my software.

I have been unable to recreate this problem.

If anyone else experiences this problem, please contact me through my website. I would love to put out a patch for this ASAP, but I need to be able to recreate it first.

Yeah I had the same "select a user" loser signs. I simply quit an drestarted the program and all is well. A rather boring look and feel to it all.

Im running Open Fitness 2.0.0 with OS-X 10.4.9 on MacBook. I have had no problems with either the Cario or the Weight Lifting journals. But the Diet Journal is a disaster.

This is important because I am using both cardio and strength exercise programs along with diet control to attempt to lose about 50 pounds, and I selected Open Fitness because it claimed to be able to do all three.

The Diet Journal lets me open a new day, open a new meal, add food to that meal, open more meals, add food to those meals, BUT when it comes time to "Save" the final entry . . . Open Fitness totally quits without saving a thing. I have to reopen Open Fitness from scratch, but then when I go into the Diet Journal, there's nothing there at all.

I have sent multiple emails to Open Fitness support. I have waited weeks. I have sent more emails. I have posted on all three of their message boards. It's been two months now with no response whatsoever.

I therefore conclude that either there has been a family tragedy that has taken the developer's attention entirely away from workoutware.com and Open Fitness, or he has simply abandoned the company and its products.

If anybody knows anything about this, I'd sure appreciate hearing about it. -Jack Clark, Idyllwild, CA
