What works -- much more often than not -- is to google the app name along with the version number and there are a few sites that still have downloads available.

In this case one of them is:

softpedia and softonic are good for getting deadware in this way.

But allways check MU first, of course. Users' comments here are better/more informative than anywhere else I've seen.

Unfortunately, it appears that this may have become abandonware. Neither the download link nor the developer's site link work, and the web page for the root domain gives no indication of any software development activities.

A shame—I have an earlier version and had not realized there was an update until I started using MacUpdate Desktop. But now the update appears to be unavailable. :-(

Works but way to crippled. No metadata, no batch processing, ...

Good it is free though.

Lack of metadata and FLAC support are deal breakers for me but looks like a promising app once these are added.

Great free and simple audio converter. Reminds me of a old Windows program I used :SSF converter+
The interface is simple, but maybe a bit too simple. No support for artwork and/or metadata though.
But for a v1.0 release it certainly is looking promising.

Two-year-old Intel iMac, running OS X 10.5.8. Apparently meets the minimum specification. This application crashes immediately on launching. Tried several times, but same behaviour each time.

Pity - this looks as if it would be handy otherwise...

This works very well for me (10.6.5) and solves a long-standing problem that I had with other software not functioning for me. The GUI is very simple and easy to use as well. Being free, it is wonderful.

Cool! Been looking for a small lightweight audio file converter. This looks great and no-nonsense.

One thing that would be super useful though would be a channel format that splits multichannel files into a bunch of mono files.
