Welcome to LionBleacher. By performing this installation, the brown textures and graphics from Address Book and iCal in Lion become "discolored". Address book receives a blue pattern instead of Apple's own brown leather. Since this app now differs utmost from Apple's own interface guidelines, the look and layout of Address Book in Snow Leopard probably cannot be recovered. But you can get rid of all browns and ocres. My choice here is black and blue.
iCal makes the task a lot easier. Here the brown graphics and the torn paper are either deleted or simply replaced by gray. It seems

iCal makes the task a lot easier. Here the brown graphics and the torn paper are either deleted or simply replaced by gray. It seems that all brownish text color in UI-elements cannot be easily changed since Apple uses compiled NIB files.
No system files or preferences are modified, only graphics. However, there is an option in the Installer to return to Apple's own design. The installation is still at your own risk, so you should have a time machine backup ready.

Just by way of comment, I was really surprised when I first saw the new skin design of iCal and Address Book. I think I am not alone in saying that the new faux-leather and torn paper concept really is gimmicky and tacky. Further, while they look just like what is on your iPad, they do not look anything like the standard design elements of OSX. I know this may seem blasphemous, but they really look more like part of a tinker toy Windows style interface. Where are Apple going with their sense of design aesthetics?
