myRichTexts lite is a cute and very simple-to-use rich text editor with document management built right in. So you don't have to ever worry about your documents, text files, folders, or how to regain them, again - just focus on writing and hide everything - even Dock and Menu bar. Don't forget to check out the full version with sophisticated features like Smart Folders and iDisk/Dropbox sync.
What's New
Version 1.3:
added advanced Find panel
added Paste and Match Style
fixed some minor bugs
Requirements
PPC / Intel, Mac OS X 10.4.11 or later.
Please just restart and set Zoom and everything will be fine!!!
and YES - thats the feature - you don't have to care about files, folders etc. and how to regain them! It is not TextEdit made self - it's an app for scriveners who want to focus on writing - but of course you can export to any place you want…
The startup, word count, and cancel bugs are fixed. However, it still crashes when I click the "Ruler" toolbar item and now the text area does not accept text (however the word and character counters reflect the added text).
Oh, I just remembered to set zoom. This fixed the bugs, but for people who don't know to do that (since zoom has already been selected) it will never work. So, just one more thing to fix.
Thats the translation for the German word: Schreiberling - and Schreiberling was my first app for 'writers' ever and it fits much better than the clean word writer…
This app is visually appealing, but it has quite a few problems. First of all, the document window and everything load in the background but the screen zoom menu opens itself and is the only thing visible until I click on the dock icon. Second, the word count says 67 and the character count says 468 but I haven't entered any text, and they both increase when I do enter some text (to 68 words and 469 characters). Third, clicking the toolbar item to enable the ruler crashes the application. Fourth, when creating a new document the Cancel button doesn't do anything. Finally, this isn't really a bug but it's still annoying: I can only change the save destination in the preferences.
