ZippyRippy is a new program developed with one goal in mind, ripping DVD media for use on personal devices. ZippyRippy is set apart by the idea that DVD conversion should be automatic without the need to endlessly tweak controls.

If a DVD with a valid VIDEO_TS folder is detected when ZippyRippy is launched, it will start going into action based on previously established preferences.

These developers are among the most half-assed clowns in ripdom. Almost every update they post includes the wrong version of their app, and the app itself works only around 20% of the time. I gave up on them 6 or 7 versions ago.

Clearly AIMAR2019 is both a spam scumbag (Spambag?) and an idiot, for he seems completely oblivious to the futility of spamming a Macintosh users' board like MacUpdate.com about a Windows DVD ripper.

Does this program actually work with encrypted commercially sold DVD's? I don't see anything about that on the website or here in the description.

I already own Ripit, MacTheRipper and Mac DVDRipper Pro which all work great especially RipIt that fetches the DVD's name from the online service.

Not sure I understand your question. What other types of DVDs would you want/need to use this with?

It sort of seems to work but it hangs on the "Conversion Complete" window and the status bar never quite makes it to the end

Do not loose your time downloading this app.

Tried it with a movie that was perfectly ripped by Mactheripper, ZippyRippy took more time to reach a (self-declared) 99% "completed" task and then it just hung endlessly. I had to force quit ZippyRippy and no file remained.

There was something wrong with the stars. I checked "worst" for all features (since the app does not work at all) and it has become 5 stars in Macupdate.
I recommend NOT TO LOSE TIME WITH THIS APP !

It actually works now. I bought a copy, it is cheap enough and does what it says so why not?

So my "ZippyRippy"(version 1.0.6) asks me to download, install, and relaunch version 1.0.7. I do this but all I get is same version I already have. The website says nothing about this supposed version 1.0.7???

  • Rip the main feature of a DVD squeeze itself to a standard 4.3 GB DVD. This is also handy to skip menus and previews on most DVD's.
  • h.264 mpeg4 encoding option, great for AppleTV
  • Set it up to launch when a video DVD is inserted into the drive for automatic ripping and encoding.
