iExplorer (was iPhone Explorer) is an iPhone browser for Mac lets you view the files on your iOS device. By using a drag and drop interface, you can quickly copy files and folders between your Mac and your iPhone or iTouch. It works with both jailbreaked and non-jailbreaked iPhones and works quickly with a standard USB cable.

Thank you for an excellent free programme which enabled me to simply delete some duplicated unwanted downloads. May I offer some critique in that on my MacPro running 10.7.2 the app hangs when trying to delete a download in column view. In List view its fine. Also "Yes to all" button doesn't work at all. Will be happy to donate when these little imperfections are cured.

The developer has been aware for some time that the app does NOT retain the preferences set for the icon bar (text only, text and graphic, etc.). Annoyingly, one has to rest this every time the app is launched. Shouldn't be a difficult fix, but for some reason, repeated requests to correct this failing have gone ignored. That plus frequent crashes under Snow Leopard explain the rating given here.

Awfully buggy. I used it for about 5 minutes and stumbled across 3 obvious bugs in that time: Sorting files by filetype doesn't work, the "Yes to all" button doesn't work when processing multiple files, the media preview window is (to make a long story short) buggy. It's nice that this app is free, but that isn't an excuse for sloppiness.

Asks you to confirm again & again even if you have already selected the-''Yes to all''-option when trying to delete multiple files

I cant actually get it to do what I want yet.

First i used it without jail breaking my phone and i could see the 'hidden' photos. I recently upgraded to IOS5 on a 3gs iphone and cannot see all the data i previously had despite restoring from backup. When i used your program i could see all 900 photos not just the 300 that now appear on the camera roll or through normal use of my PC (windows 7). after jail breaking my phone i could see many folders in my iphone directory.......but no files at all?

please tell me what to do! i really want to recover my photos and i know they're there! just some software problem.....
please help, thanks.

I sync my iPhone and iPad to my Power Mac G4 OS 10.5 (non Intel)
Need to recover photos lost in recent upgrade to iOS5.
Is there an older version of iExplorer that works on a non-Intel Mac?

USELESS as all can be. Initial popup screen comes up asking you to share with the world and you can't get past it.

Hi Heathen,

Thanks for the feedback and sorry for the pop-up. Apparently I had my monitor's resolution set pretty high when I made that window so on a few computers the okay button was off the bottom of the screen. Anyhow, that bug was fixed several hours after the release in the subsequent release.

Also, for those of you here who are frustrated by that popup in the updated release, you can make it go away without sharing a link just by clicking on any of the share buttons, then waiting 7 seconds for the "do not show window again" checkbox to become enabled. With that said tho, Apple Inc., just had us change the names and logos of half our programs so we could really use a few more links out there to help our company from disappearing to the back pages of Google entirely.

Best regards,
Chris

Can't exit the initial window when opening the app for macbook pro 13 because the buttons (if there is) for exiting is beyond the screen.

Hi x86tech,

Thanks for the feedback. You're probably aware of the update a few days ago that has resolved the issue. I described the situation in a bit more detail in my above post.

Sincerely,
Chris

New version seems to have some rather major issues - first and foremost being that even though I have a jailbroken iPhone, I cannot set the "root" directory as the iPhone's root directory.

We recreated how the file system & folder structure works. I think we intended to have an option in the prefs menu for showing the "real-root" if your phone is jailbreaked, but maybe we missed it. I'll try to get that fixed ASAP.
