Makes it less compelling to try if I use (and paid for) CCC.

And I just love healthy competition & comparison – I just realized CCC includes an option to backup to password-protected disk images.
CCC is a nice piece of software. However, the main difference is that CCC doesn't have the online backup feature, i.e. the ability to back up to FTP sites.
The main goal of Instant Backup is not scheduled or massive backups. Instant Backup is for manual secure backup in addition to all of your existing major backup solutions. Plus, unlike most of other tools, it provides you with online backup. The description on this page and Zevrix website will give you more details.
