Worst application out there.....When you bring it up - it has to load all of your tracks.....it says 1 second for every 500 tracks.....I have about 240000 tracks.....it takes atleast an houe to load up. Do the math. Frequent hangs...hangs the machine....hangs the screen saver...... Time estimates are never correct....SLOW, SLOW, SLOW. Doing these tasks by hand would be faster...... I owned ver 1 many years ago - it SUCKED....I thought by the "RAVE" review that maybe they had improved something for ver 2.X....NOPE! In my mind they have gone backward. I think their bottom line is selling you tickets and such via TUniverse. DO NOT waste your money on this program....Do it by hand - it is faster...... Ohhh and this thing will absolutely fill your logs up with garbage.....seriously slowing you processor and machine.....

Tuneup was a reasonable 18 months ago ... for about six months ... even then its tagging had a few flaws (agreed, most taggers do!). I think this was prior to upgrading to Snow Leopard. Certainly under Lion, at least, it initially just crashed every time, while more recently it's just slow. Does anyone know how to uninstall it? It's like removing a leech, the way it sucks onto the side of iTunes each time you flip a 45 on the turntable :)

Very very bad app. I paid $40 for this rubbish. I know its a powerful app with some cool features, like auto cleaning albums, auto matching the covers of albums etc... But the app is very hard to use! it started with iTunes and cannot be separated from iTunes. you will tolerate the endless waiting and crazy hot cpu while the app doing its job. you have to reopen it again and again as it always crash, and you need to activate it again and again as it forget your activation code so quickly.

I have this app for both PC and Mac because it's the only app I can find that does what it does on all of the CDs that I burnt a long time ago before CDs would phone home and query a track and album database. The app is able to restore a big mass of tracks that were Track 01, Track 02, Track 03 to be before, necessitating my shuffle-play lifestyle. My Mac and PC both have loads of RAM and I think that helps a lot. And I have good Internet too. I just don't have the problems on either platform and I can now use my iPad the way I want to which is with play lists and album art and a tight library devoid of duplicate tracks and unknown artists.

After seeing all of the comments I still decided to purchase this application. I did notice that they did have a new update and in doing further research it took a while to come to the public. Overall the it seems to work well. So far so good, I have cleaned roughly 750 songs and counting. Overall I say do it.

Well, I guess my star ratings don't completely add up in terms of the sum of its parts, but had gigs of dirty music that I have been collecting and burning off CDs since before you could ping a server and label CDs as you were burning them, so the fact that I can clean up hieroglyphic track names and then also get cover art and remove the dupes that result is worth just about anything to me. $40 is too expensive for this app in the real world but in my world, I would have paid $400 to fix all those old songs. It was so bad that I pretty much only played all my music in shuffle mode.

always got it right-right away and on a nano with Shure ear buds riding MTB my tunes sound much better! Even on my $2200 truck sound system the after Tune Up iTunes Library is significantly improved. That in and of itself is more than enough besides the little universe and other features. If you could hear what i hear.....,

Sorry devalue - I didn't understand a word of that. Are you seriously claiming that an app which, when it works, supposedly re-organises your iTunes library makes it "sound much better"? Even TuneUpMedia don't claim that! Are you reviewing the correct software?

From my perspective it's very difficult to think of anything positive to say about TuneUp. With the current versions of TuneUp and iTunes TuneUp crashes every time it launches. I have had a number of tickets with Support but these have achieved absolutely nothing. Judging by the number of posts on their forums I am one of many many people to have this and other problems. The list of reported problems is extensive.
Support is poor - very rarely is there anything from them on the forums other than "I have issued ticket .....". Users are not kept informed.
I bought a Lifetime Gold Membership which was supposed to cover me. Tuneup changed the app slightly, adding an extra option, and informed Gold Members they would have to pay more cash to access the complete package. This caused uproar on the forums - all to no avail.

I would avoid this program like the plague.

As buggy as a rainforest!
I needed to resize manually iTunes, check the proxy, check everything before making it work.
Also: I needed it for a while, migrating from a PC to a Mac my whole library. I finally migrated it only on the Mac, and the license tooo, has changed once and solely.
This is not a nice way to make customers satisfied: libraries are often distributed over several own computers, and you must chose only one of them to make all the changes with this crap.
I also had a big problem: TuneUp changed, instead of AVOIDING like I ordered, the Across the Universe album from the Original Soundtrack CD, messing up titles and artists! I hated it!!! 32 track of the deluxe edition needs now to be re-managed!!!
What a crapware.

I bought the TuneUp to fix my library. It works rarely, I'm better of fixing the names myself than through this program.

Program hangs constantly, it's ok if you have full album you just want to fill out rest of the info.. otherwise it's useless.

Idea is good but I'd wait for something better..
