Journal Article Widget gives you a shortcut for looking up an article by journal, volume, and page number. Select the journal you are looking for in the left pulldown menu. Type in the volume number in the first text field. Type the starting page number in the second text field. Hit enter/return and your browser will open to the abstract webpage. Journals are being added daily, check back for updates or e-mail me if you don't see your favorite journal yet.
What's New
Version 1.1: Fixed support for ACS (Chemistry) journals. Support for both new and old ArXiv.org citation styles.
Hmmm... This quick search sounds like a great idea, something I would use.
But I wish it was implemented in something other than a widget. I (and many others) don't use widgets, especially because they hang out in the background and take up memory. I hope the author could implement this as an modified search field in Safari or a plugin for FireFox.
