PowerTunes allows iTunes users to create multiple libraries, organize their music among multiple music folders, and share music and libraries between multiple users on a machine.
In addition to simply creating and keeping track of your libraries, PowerTunes also offers many additional features to help organize your music. Note: Getting a "can't create temporary directory" error when updating?
There was a bug in the auto-updater that shipped with PowerTunes 1.2 that will result in this error when trying to update. Please download the update from http://www.fatcatsoftware.com/powertunes/PowerTunes.dmg and replace your current version with the new version manually.
- Fixed a crash that could occur when sorting a very large number of tracks in the track list
- Fixed a crash that could occur when a library or its media folder was renamed or moved
- Fixed a bug where using the Share Library command would not successfully set new permissions

I did just test it out on 2 secondary iTunes Library. Not my main one.
After stating my main iTunes again all my settings had been reset to default!
Yes even my Podcasting settings. Suddenly it started to download al kind of crap from Podcasts I had unsubscribed long ago!
Not Fun. You are warned! Beware.

I tried it with iTunes 771 after having lost lots of informations through various iTunes updates since version 6 and having to merge music and libraries between a MacMini and my ex-Powerbook to my actual iMac G5: Thanks to PowerTunes I could recover, reorder quite everything in less than a pair of hours.
It deserves 5 stars for everything, nothing compares to it and yes, it's always a pity to see that shareware authors do a better job than Apple (since ages...).
Nevertheless,I find it a bit expensive because you will use it once to reorder everything and then you'll swear not having the same mess again between your computers before needing it! :-)
10 bucks would be a more reasonnable price.
(if you just need separate libraries without any interaction between them iTunes Library Manager is perhaps a more reasonnable choice)
Except for that, it's a must have!!!

Multitunes is nice too, because it's integrated in iTunes, but doesn't detect what library you're using if switching directly with iTunes startup shortcut instead (and is definitely too expensive! 16$).
