Working in the background and keeping a watchful eye over your file system, File Actions will detect changes as soon as they happen and automatically perform any actions on the files that have been flagged as changed.

File Actions 2 allows you to create a series of rules, which define a set of criterion of what files they can more...

I had higher hopes for this shareware. It looks as though it's going to do good, allowing me to make rules and watch folders to keep my mac in a tidy shape.
I created a rule as I would have done in Hazel, and kept an eye on what was happening with my folder items... only to find that this app moved everything from my watch folder, not just the specified extensions.
I proceeded to remove the preference pane and forget this app ever existed.

This program was something I've been looking for, too bad it turned out to be somewhat of a nightmare. I set up only one rule which was simply to move one specific filename to the trash from my Downloads folder to my trash ... what it did instead though was move the entire contents of my Downloads folder to my Utilities folder which was obviously not even close to the rule that I set up, not just that but I was also unable to edit the rule once it was set up, and not just that (once again) it would continue to apply that rule even AFTER I deleted it ... the only way I was able to discontinue the rule from running was to delete the program from my system ... thats just rather scary in my eyes. And to top it all off this is something that the dev wants to be paid $10 to do? No thanks, I will gladly move my files around at random on my own for free.

This App downloads perfectly well, but will not open in 10.4.11 on my Intel iMac; no matter how I try to launch it (Finder, App launcher, dragging to dock and using 'Open' in the pop-up menu).

Check the system requirements. You's out of luck.

Great little piece of software, does exactly what it's supposed to, I've not been using it long, but havn't found any problems with it.

Small gripe is that it's icon is in the dock and the menu bar, it really needs to be a menu bar only program.
