I'd had this on my Mac for quite a few years. It worked well. It saved me time. Then I got a"New Version Available" notification. Yippee! Unfortunately, when the "30 day free trial" ended I discovered the problem no one told me about, Chronos was no longer supporting the app, but there was no way to buy a license for the newer version. So now I can't use the app, can't upgrade it either. What a clusterf**k. Fortunately, I was able to use an uninstaller app, and they do have the old versions available on the Support page. Also, I have an app where the License Key for the old version is kept. So at the end of the day, - good app, lousy support.

I've tried many a Clipboard manager,, and the combination of Library, custom naming and sets for history and other features really sold this one for me! Now the latest news is it doesn't work in Mojave, 10.14.2 (my version). So I decided to trust my instincts/voices that told me to dig back in the archives and try a 'legacy' version. So I did ...and IT Works! Now using verxion 3.0.6 [Which can be downloaded from the chronosnet website.] Woo-Hoo, back in biz.

As iClipboard appears to be dead, I like to point a few things out about iClip (which is my product): • iClip can import your clips from iClipboard. See http://iclipapp.com/help/iclipboard.html • iClip is nearly identical in features to iClipboard. • iClip is more configurable (hot keys, hot clicks for almost every operation). • iClip will be updated for 64 bit (see beta page where it'll become available first for testing). • Contact me (support@iclipapp.com) to get 50% off if you have a iClipboard license.

I have been using iClipboard for years but after the Mojave update it would no longer launch. I thought that perhaps I needed a to update iClipboard as well so I paid again for a download. It does not launch either and after two attempts with support and no response I'm moving on to something else. Beware.

I have never, ever received a response to a support request from this company. I like iClipboard, but their service is terrible--and most of the products not updated or up to par.

Rather than rate the company, as everyone below is doing, I'll rate the actual product: I personally find it best-in-class for this kind of software, and I have used pretty much all of them. iClip is fairly close, but it irritates me by not responding to double-click on a copied item to paste it; you have to click on a tiny little arrow icon instead. With iClipboard you just double-click it. The only reason this isn't 5 stars is that the app is fairly unstable. I sometimes have it crash multiple times per day (though sometimes it also runs all week without dying). However, I haven't found iClipboard, PTHPasteboard, ClipBuddy, etc., to be any more stable. I'm sorry that there's some kind of problem right now in getting the 6.0 version (a quick search shows it on at least one BT site, if you're willing to go that route), but I already downloaded it, and it works very well for me. I tend to agree with complaints below that, as just a bug-fix release, it should have been free (and been 5.something, not 6.0, since it added no new features). Same goes for it suddenly not being available from the author's site, after people have paid for it (we often need to re-download and re-install things). But that's nothing to do with how good this is as a piece of software, and it's darned good. I had a utility like this way back in the day under MacOS 9, and really missed it when making the jump to OS X, and had missed it every single day until I started using iClipboard, back around version 3 or whenever it was that I first found it.

So Chronos lists iClipboard as no longer supported on their website here: https://www.chronosnet.com/downloads/old At the top of this page is this disclaimer: "Chronos does NOT sell licenses to older versions of our products because they are no longer being actively developed (no more bug fixes, improvements, etc.). We make these older versions available for current owners who need to reinstall due to hard disk crashes, accidental deletes, etc."

Does iClipboard still exist? It's no longer on the Chronos website (except for older versions) and links from this MU page result in a 404 "Page not found" error page.

When iClipboard is working well, it's a great product. Just be aware that when there is a problem, there is also;utely no help available from Chronos. They do not reply to support questions. They say the are going to, but never do. Extremely poor customer support. There is no phone number to call. There is no other way to get help.

I own and use version 4. I paid for but found v. 5.0.0 UNSTABLE and submitted two support tickets in Nov-2014 and NEVER got any support. NONE. Went back to using v.4 with only an occasional problem - it would quit running and vanish with no error message. But with 30 days to test 6.0.0 at no charge I've downloaded it to two 10.11.4 Macs and immediately note it still has one of the EXACT SAME problems 5.0.0 does: when I reboot I get a message warning me there is not enough space in the menu bar for iClipboards icon. To this error message (as in the past) I say BS - my main screen is a Dell 32" 4K display with lots of free menubar space. The other is a 15" MacBook Pro Retina. I believe the developer never learned to program for UHD and Retina displays. Another reviewer here referred to v6 being a paid bug fix from v5. Well - at least one major bug is STILL HERE. For me - as long as v4.x keeps working Chronos won't get my $$$$ (see my new vs upgrade pricing comments here as well.)

iClipboard looks very nice BUT I just can't use any clipboard manager that does not support Illustrator content. Actually there are many clipboard tools available that don't show you the copied content from Illustrator (only: the SVG source code). So I stick with Copy'emPaste and PTHPasteboard.

There is no discount to upgrade! Price for a new single license is $9.99 and the upgrade is $9.99 Family pack new: $14.99 and upgrade price is $14.99 So Chronos would rip off previous owners by not offering any discount. Bet they will raise the new prices to fix this...

Zero fixes to 5.0.0, zero response to problem reports, and now they release 6.0. My recommendation, instead of buying this product, is to just take the money out into the street and set fire to it; it's faster and has the same end result.

I've gotten an email from Chronos trying to get me to upgrade to the new version 6. I still have un-answered support requests from Dec-2014 about version 5 not working. And I've been using version 4 with El Cap with only minor issues. In 18+ months not a single update to the unstable version 5.0??? Now they want $$$ for a new whole number version 6.0. Why would I want to give this jerk company more of my money?

I have been using iClipboard v5.0 since it came out, and I have never found any bug and never had to contact the support because there was no need for that. A User Guide is available directly from the Help menu. My system version is currently 10.10.5 (Yosemite). I'm neither going to comment on the company's support, which is apparently non-existent, nor the price, because I actually got iClipboard as a birthday present from a friend. iClipboard, SOHO Organizer and SOHO Notes have all been discontinued, so don't expect any new versions of iClipboard. It's a pity, because from all the clipboard managers I have tried—and they are many—I have found iClipboard to be among the best. Copy'em Paste has a similar set of features, but lacks sounds and the comfortable way to edit clippings that iClipboard offers. If you have copied some text, you can edit it in a TextEdit-like window with an advanced formatting toolbar; this enables you, for example, to color parts of the text, underline it, change the alignment, etc. You can't do that in Copy'em Paste. Both have one glaring omission. If you copy text from a Web site, the URL is not preserved, so if you don't work on the text right away, you will end up with a lot of snippets and have no idea where you got them from.

I have v4. When I tried to upgrade, the upgrade link wouldn't work since I purchased through Macupdate. Since it wouldn't work with the information, I submitted a support ticket. The initial one is going on 20 days plus, soooo filed another after about 15 days. That one is going on 5 days plus....and the only question I am asking is how can I give you more money to upgrade!!!! Can't imagine what kind of response people get when they actually have a support issue. Now I question my desire to upgrade and continue business with this company....

You can look at my Comments for iClipboard 5.0 from 9-Dec and 22-Dec about new problems I have reported directly to them and now at 36 days I've had no reply back via their web site support ticket. So time for a review. iClipboard 4 was great - I found it functional (multi levels of clipboards and had no issues with it.) Along comes 5.0 and immediately I have two very serious issues which I copy/paste here from my 9-Dec comments. 1 - I have iClipboard on the left of the screen. iCB also opens if I can anywhere in the Finder along the left edge. It does not require me to click the iCB TAB itself. I've noticed the area that causes this is dependent on how tall the iCB tray would be when open. The shorter the tray the shorter the area along the edge that causes it. VERY intrusive bug. 2 - iClipboard 5.0.0 shows the error "Menu bar is currently too crowded to display iClipboard icon" each time I restart my MacPro 2013. It also shows the same error if I do not have it start at login and then manually launch it. I use a 32-inch Dell UP3214 UltraHD (4K) display so my menu bar has tons of blank space. NOTE: this same error shows on my 2012 MacPro Retina. #1 is a real PIA causing me repeated times of having to close the unwanted opening of the sidebar. #2 I can live with. But to get no support after 36 days is horrid. They claim 48 hour response but do not do such. I would still give the app 5 stars for doing what it claims but will deduct 2 stars for the bugs and 1 star for the non-existant tech support.

I reported the following 2 problems 15 days ago via the Ticket process at Chronos and have heard NOTHING back. The first bug one is very irritating! 1 - I have iClipboard on the left of the screen. iCB also opens if I can anywhere in the Finder along the left edge. It does not require me to click the iCB TAB itself. I've noticed the area that causes this is dependent on how tall the iCB tray would be when open. It also shows the same error if I do not have it start at login and then manually launch it. I use a 32-inch Dell UP3214 UltraHD (4K) display so my menu bar has tons of blank space. NOTE: this same error shows on my 2012 MacPro Retina. Anyone else experiencing these or have a solution? Chorines: How about some bug fixes??? Or responses to Tickets???
