iGadget X... Realize the full potential of your iPod. You will have the tools necessary to copy songs off and iPod and back onto your Mac. You will also be able to transform your iPod into much more than a music player. You can turn your iPod into an information repository by transfering all kinds of data to your iPod, including driving directions, contacts, appointments, email, notes, tasks, podcasts, RSS news feeds, weather forecasts, daily horoscopes, movie showtimes, gas prices and more!
What's New
Version 3.2:
Added support for playlist folders. In the past when transferring playlists, playlist folders would transfer over simply as a large playlist. With this version, playlist folders will be restored as playlist folders in iTunes.
Added help button to display instructions on how to enable iPod "disk use".
just downloaded. i like the "look" of the application. Crashed immediately as soon as i tried to add a Weather location. tried two locations, five times and it never worked. that was my first experience with the application.
iGadget X appears to be somewhat buggy. In OS X Tiger 10.4.9, two "help" menus appear in the toolbar. The iTunes auto-sync warning appeared the first time with text that disappeared at startup. Clicking and dragging the blank window brought the text back. Plug-in descriptions in the main window are not always visible.
Features
There are a couple of plug-ins that could be useful. Driving directions, gas prices (weather???) and movie show times are way too US centric. It would be better if time was spent on enabling support of various file formats such as doc, pdf, etc. Plug-ins like file/folder backup is potentially useful.
This app has potential, but is a work in progress at this time.
