The GeForce 7300 GT Firmware Update will update the firmware on all of the NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT graphics cards in the Mac Pro. The updater application will be installed in the /Applications/Utilities folder. Please follow the instructions in the updater application to complete the process.

Updated via software update. Smooth as silk, as always. Most likely this update is required for the Mac OS X 10.4.9 update, the release of which is imminent.

Just installed this less than thirty minutes ago, and so far no problems. On a side note, while this may not happen for others, it seems that my RAM footprint has shrunk significantly, just slightly more than half of my usual footprint.

huh, got the card in my mac pro.. however; the software says it doesn't require an update..

I have this exact same card and my Mac Pro says it doesn't need the update. What is going on here?

Same here--said it did not need to be applied. My numbers, according to system profiler...
